Melia's reaction to the snow just made my day!...that sense of child-like wonder....I live on the southern tip of Lake Michigan, in a quaint beach town...our winters can get pretty nasty, lol...but the thick Lake-effect snows are beautiful...to watch out your picture window...in front of the fireplace....You better invest in a couple of snow mobiles by next year... it's a small place, but what a great place to have a family Christmas sleep-over....

My favorite type of snow is when there is no wind and the snow comes straight down in big flakes very slowly. It makes eveything quiet. Really awesome!

Your daughter is so cute. It's fun to watch someone who's never seen snow. Those of us who get it every year forget about it being beautiful and fun. We just see it as cold and a hassle anymore. Welcome to Northern living ...🤣 I'm ur state neighbor over in vermont... this is a 7-8 months outta 12 months living... vehicles don't see car washes til round late April after mud seasons done an winter salts gone off rds... this my friend is why our cars rot quickly from the Salt dumping on rds 8 months out the yr.. recommend having ur northern vehicle oil sprayed under coated for next winter traveling here.. it kinda salt proofs all under ur vehicle an fenders an such.. huge medal saver..lol be safe enjoy the winters...9mg Luna an ur babygirl loving that snow.. something I take for granted cause I live it...this warms my heart an gives me a new appreciation thank u PS WELCOME TO THE 40 CLUB OOOOH HAPPY DAY..

It is a blessing to get older, although the older you get you feel it more!😩. I remember turning 40, seems like a very long time ago. We popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Thank SO VERY MUCH for this beautiful snowy video. I'm a Canadian now living in Greece for 43 years AND I miss the snow. God Bless you from the bottom of my heart. YES it's fantastic to what can literally be buried underneath the snowfall. My husband and I would know approximately where he'd parked the car on the side of the road, and then start to dig it out to realise it wasn't our car. Omar, I lived in the Pacific Northwest in Spokane WA in the 90's. I use to shovel snow in my shorts. The winters there were dry. In 1997, we had 6 feet of snow that fell in 2 months and the temperature was minus 60 degrees.

What an Awesome video with your family. Loved seeing the kids sledding. I had a blast doing it as a kid in Michigan. Was a snowman⛄ ever built? I know what it's like to be cold when the furnace breaks down. When I was a teenager, the furnace quit in during the night & we had to bundle up in our winner coats, gloves, extra socks, & blankets in our beds to "try" & stay warm... didn't work LOL But, somehow we survived it all. Oh! We even tried dancing & exercising to stay warm... wrong answer bcuz you sweat & get even colder. What can I say, you learn & live out your mistakes by trial & error in life. No matter what may come your way. The choices you make create the person you are in life... I read that somewhere.

I smiled through the whole vid. Glad to see your kids are kids even though they are teens. I recently moved from Minnesota to Arizona and I'm nuts, but I miss the snow!!!!! Omar, 40 is nothing.. I'm 54. 40 was liberating, 50 was fabulous. My dad is 86 (almost 87) still goes dancing twice a week and enjoys life. Keep doing what you are doing and you will be forever young. When you was in Fayetteville West Virginia y’all were just 1hr 48 mins away from where I live and u was right pretty cool I must say but our mountains are so beautiful when it snows looks like a snow globe but when it melts it gets so yucky . In The fall our mountains are beautiful to as the leaves are changing. And spring time and summer their so green and pretty I don’t like our mountains in the winter unless it snows then I luv them with all the snow that collects on the trees and everything that’s the only time our mountains are beautiful in the winter Is when it snows. Omar, if you have to drive in the snow buy 3 or 4 60 lb sand bags and put them in the bed of your truck. You can also lower your tire pressure a little bit to give you more traction.

Im glad you like the snow, I live in upstate NY, and I can't stand it. I got tired of shoveling this year, and got hurt a couple time slipping on ice. I love all your videos, but I especially love the family videos. Wish I had videos of my children when they were small/young. Cherish all your memories, in videos & pictures. I'm 68 yrs. old, have had 5 back surgeries & don't get around too much anymore. I have 2 sons, and my #2 son gave me 2 grandchildren. They don't live close to me so I don't get to see them very much. 40 is a wonderful age!! The life you have lived so far has got lots of memories to remember. Hey, always be prepared. Know the weather forecast, have an emergency kit: First Aid, Car Emergency Kit, snow shovel, water, blankets, extra food, snow gear, kitty litter (for traction for the tires), ect. When there is inclement weather, you never know what you'll get into. Take it from someone who has lived in Alaska and in the mountains of Utah and in the desert of Texas, you have to be prepared for where you live or are headed. Also, NEVER put hot water on iced windows! They will crack or break. It looks like you guys had fun in the snow. I remember growing up in Tulsa, we got a lot of snow and had some great hills for sledding. You were thinking of "snow drifts", but snow banks is also correct. I love to see dogs play in the snow, it's just pure joy. Ok, stay safe and be wise. 😇

I'm in southern indiana friday morning-afternoon was in the low 50s than around 6pm it started snowing. saturday morning it was 19 degrees and snow. the wind was horrible. Yesterday was 70 degrees. low mid 60s today. Crazy indiana weather.
