That's because it's tough ,core science, mathematics is 1000times tough than other discipline,in real sense those who crack jee at young age are just starting to learn alphabets when it comes to real picture of what mathematics is all about,that's why only a very few have excelled in these discipline since the beginning of the history.just pay a visit in tifr ,isi or cmi and meet some mathematician these upsc and jee thing will start to feel like kids game,and I am not even talking about Fermi lab,CERN or ligo.

Sir...don't u think engineers most importantly engineers from institutes like IITs ..so iitians turning IAS officers is nothing to be celebrated ! . Sir don't u think that our country needs research innovation technology startups and entrepreneurs ! Iitians who have got briliant minds ..don't u think that they must invest themselves into research startups technology and innovation so that they can contribute to the growth and upliftment and development of nation ! I am not neglecting the fact that upsc provides wide opportunities to bring changes in society but the worst truth is at the end a IAS officer have to do what he/she is asked to do by politicians and ministers ! I am 18 and it's my point of view ! If someone disagrees with I have written here ! I understand that everybody has got different opinions.. Sir I myself m interested and passionate about IFS service but I also wanna be researcher (scientist) it's just I m worried that whether I would get those diverse research related opportunities which I want, in India ! It's very expensive to go to abroad to pursue research ! I am proud Indian ! But I believe Indians have created some very different mentality for competitive exams ! This has made us forgotten how much we are lacking in in terms of research innovation technology like other countries doing ! I wish our education system could give more relevance to practical knowledge so that children could understand how relevant research technology and innovation is ! And research innovation in every field is necessary like in agriculture pharmacy with the help of biotechnological practices.. research is needed in every domain ..so that we can lead to development...I wish Indian children aim to be scientists biotechnologist physicist soil scientist plant genetics and breeding scientist agricultural scientist immunologist virologist and list is endless then only we will reach where other developed countries are ! It's truly useless when 16 lakh or 20 lakh people would sit for just one exam ! We could do so good in other areas if youth explores other domains as well.. To everyone who reads this ! Don't get offended ! It's my personal opinions..🌱 At last I just want to say that "upsc exam needs some serious reforms" !

Krte hai..bhai research bhi.. Bade2 government&corporate project( including DRDO& ISRO) bhi kree jate hai.. Bhut khuch hota hai iits me.. Iitians only upsc aim nhi krte... Depend on the interest field choose krte hai.. Ex:- Research(PhD from top Institute), MBA, JOB( marketing, consultancy, product management, software engineering, quant researcher, +core jobs)& Entrepreneurship.

It's partially true I tell you the correct as I am an IITian we do a lot of hard word to get admission in iit as jee advanced is one of the hardest exam but after getting into iit we have to do double hard work 6-7 hours classes daily 4-5 assignment 2-3 lab activities and extra curricular activities that's by IITian top

There are some very bright and exceptional IITians who scored the first Rank in their first attempt. In the year 2002 Ankur Garg from IIT topped in his first attempt. similarly, in the year 1998 Bhavana Garg, who too an IITian, secured the first rank in UPSC in her first attempt

Whether iitians become more focused at a young age but the students of Humanities and also be focused in their own, they all can be more focused and serious in 12th boards where they can perform greatly which will help in getting a very good college, and also it syllabus helps quietly in the static portion of UPSC. So never ever think that iitians can take more selection due to brand and focused.. anyone can crack UPSC with good preparation and performance, in a dedicated manner...

I'm IITian and when we IITians think about government exams we find it very easy bcz we already deal with very complex things from last 3 yrs in jee prepration stage , I myself had given 14 hrs daily in 3 yrs , so it is very easy comparatively

Respected Sir , I am going to appear for UPSC in 2025. I gave jee but unable to fetch good percentile to get into NIT/IIT.Later, I gave UPSEE and got admission in IERT Allahabad affiliated to AKTU and decided to appear for UPSC. Many of my friends and relatives discouraged me that only iitians/nitians or cream layer students get selected here and that made me feel depressed. But after watching your video, I am motivated again and became optimistic. Thanks a lot Sir for this eye opening video.

Sir please read my comment as sometimes I feel anxious due to the following reasons and try to make a proper video on it. Sir in top 100, this time most of them are from engineering background and sir they didn't had taken science subjects or math as their optional and sir people start saying that engineers are cracking upsc exams and not students who belong to humanities background. Forget everything. More and more engineers opt for upsc CSE every year . In your data too, 30-40% of the candidates in the final list are engineers. Reason can be many brilliant engineers, after completing their graduation, hesitate to go for corporate jobs and many other don't satisfy with their jobs, due to reasons known to themselves. So, they left their jobs and go for UPSC CSE. On the contrary, majority of doctors want to pursue higher studies, and also satisfy with their jobs with handsome pay and lifestyle. So ,they get settled. Only few go for UPSC CSE. So, less doctors in the selection list.

I don't think being IIT matters in the exam. But, I think it matters in ranking. There might be biasness on that part by interviewer. As we all know the difference between rank 1 and 100 is very less. Selection might not matter but, ranking I am not sure about it. And interview marks play a big role in ranking.

Sir, I don't agree with you, I have counterargument ,please noted my point. 1. Iitians have better mindset to deal with things, that helps a lot in this unexpected examination 2. iitians have better communication skill that helps a lot in the interview 3. They are habituated in doing hard labour. 4. They belongs to a high educated family (most of the cases), their family provide him a better circumstances to do it with full of enthusiasm 5. It is psychological fact that if you have 1 seat and 2 students are eligible for the post than you prefer the iitian because their Brain are habituated to do the work with enthusiasm but a normal student can't. Last and the most 6. The Medium of the exam :-English The last point is hardcore truth to accept the reality, I am not convincing or discouraging those candidate who prefer hindi, but it is hardcore truth . 1. A single exam (JEE A) cannot decide who has the better mindset. Yes, most IITians do have a superior mindset but it's not a hard and fast rule. Similarly, it's not necessary that if one is not an IITian, he doesn't have a good mindset. 2. IITians don't necessarily have better communication skills. Infact, there's hardly any connection between IIT and good communication skill. Communication development could be more appropriately attributed to location instead. A person from DCE (DTU) in Delhi is more likely to have good communication skills than someone from an IIT located in a relatively backward and rural area. 3. Agreed. 4. Wrong assumption. A very wrong assumption in fact. IITs are government colleges with minimal fees and good scholarship programs so many smart but poor students do come to IITs. 5. Not really. How often would two people have the exact same resume except for different colleges ? Even if they did, the fact that they both would have the exact same resume implies that both are equally talented at the end. The interview board is experienced and well aware of such things. IIT tag does help in interview but not to this extent.

Sir I am from an underdeveloped region. I have done my schooling and graduation from very average school and college. But I have a dream to join IFS. As per the fact that there are very low number of vacancies in IFS and looking at the tough competition to even clear the exam with the last rank, from yesterday, after looking at the backgrounds of the toppers, I have become very nervous. And there is no one to talk to about this who will understand my situation. I feel like I am dreaming for something which is out of my reach.

Fact is no matter what your background is ..how your 12th Marks are... first make urself comfortable.. understand your fears and write your fears in a diary....talk with parents, friends..after you overcome your insecurities ...just xplore what it needs to became an IFS...start from where you are, what u have ,what u know... CSE exam has nothing to do with background, Financial status..ya phir like this ki iske(Topper) to papa officer the... mummy teacher thi..blah blah ...There are some ias who studied from hindi medium ...and got 54% in boards but see they are an IAS Today. Annual reports jo aap liye hain aur Abhi ka scrnario totally different. Previously IITs NITs ka campus placement kaafi acha hota tha but now the scene is different . Bas IT , Vlsi , Signal processing , ka hi placement best hota hai. That’s why now a days they are also writing GATE , ESE, PSUs , CSE exams as well. Basically it’s individual choice but the nature of jobs that are offering to Non CS students is pushing them towards others best possible opportunities. So the Competition is going to be top in the upcoming years.

हर iit वाला बंदा भी first attempt में ही upsc nahi crack kar leta , Unko bhi 2,3 या फिर 4 attempts लग जाते हैं। इसलिये उनके hardwork ,डिसिप्लिन ,और डेडिकेशन को समझे। मेहनत करने और टफ टास्कस को smartly मैनेज करने की आदत तो वे 10वीं के बाद से ही डालना शुरु कर देते हैं । इसलिये अपने आप को low समझने की बजाय आप भी अपने ऊपर काम करना शुरू करें। भविष्य में जो कुछ भी होगा वो आप के लिए अच्छा ही होगा।
