Fubuki/Shawn Frost is what makes me say i'm a definitive Inazuma Eleven Fan. He has a Split personality with his Dead brother who is a Striker while he himself is a defender. At the current moment, the team was lacking a Striker since Axel/Gouenji was not present (i forgot why) so when they met Fubuki and knowing the current situation, they need Atsuya more than him, making him feel like useless and feeling like they don't need him, they only need Atsuya. Only when got ball kicked in the face by Gouenji (Who's back) and guide him to show that they need him too, and he finally lets go of Atsuya and became himself, Fubuki became Fubuki. And damn man, it really just hits

As someone from the UK who started with the first game, the Dub really drew me into the series. While its definitely very hit and miss, I think the fact that they localised it so thouroughly really made me connect to the characters and plot dispite not really liking football that much because it felt very familiar to child me, to the point where I actually can't learn the Japanese names now because they'll always be Mark and Axel to me instead of Endou and Gouenji. That causes a lot of problems whenever I try to read the wiki but I manage somehow. It's really nice to see someone actually put why the series is so good into words and not just say how ridiculous all the special moves are over and over again, this video has helped me put why I like the games and anime so much into words as well!

I like that it doesn’t give the wrong idea of what Inazumw Eleven is and breaks it down in a fair way. I also like the length of the video. Even though you pretty much went over every important aspect of the Anime, it’s still only 18 minutes long. I even like the editing! All in all, this is a great video that I really enjoyed!

Honestly agree a lot with this video as a morbid IE fan myself. And a lot of the localisation is...interesting, to say the least. Especially with special move names. I'd say either Go or Ares are the biggest contenders for this. Their dub names go hard...sometimes not in a good way. Big ups to whoever came up with "Claw De Force" for Terry Archibald's "Rising Slash". And whoever localized Arion's special move names. Big W in Hyper-Swiper, Whirly-Whirly, Easy Breezy and Holy Roller etc.

I’ve been rewatching this show a couple of times, and it’s so interesting how I keep learning new things from it. One quote that really strikes me is when Mark told Jack who was scared of practice “if you love soccer, you can’t give up, because even when it gets difficult, you will always love it, and always find a way to get better, so you cannot give up as long as you love it”, it went something like that. I think this anime’s spirit is so uplifting and wise, it keeps me moving forward on so many aspects of my life. Thank you inazuma eleven, truly.

The fact that KZbin has only recommended my this now is ridiculous, I loved hearing about your personal experiences and insights into the series. I think it's much needed too, because Inazuma Eleven warrants being talked about, but unfortunately I've never met anyone in my personal life who has ever heard of it. I definitely will look into watching the anime now - I've only ever played the games and wasn't sure how the anime would compare, but you've definitely convinced me to check it out. You hit the nail on the head saying that IE has a lot of heart, because you really can feel the passion and the love put into every inch of the series. You really captured a lot of the sheer coolness of the football itself (I especially appreciated the nod to the sound design of the special moves in the games), but I think the characters and the journeys they go through is why I love IE the most. It's nothing revolutionary of course, but I do think the writing is stronger than you'd expect. The second game in particular is so full of powerful emotions and really memorable character moments - Nathan's arc in the second game is my favourite for how heart breaking but real it is. Feeling like you need to be better but you can't and that you'll never be good enough is something I think any teenager can relate to, and seeing it lead to being physically broken as well as mentally just really impacted me personally. I think using injuries (which are a common part of real football) is such a genius idea to both create tense, emotional moments as well as allow new characters to come into the team. Likewise I love Kevin's arc in the first game (and honestly he's one of the best characters in general imo), and while I think the third game was a bit of a step down writing-wise from the others, it still had some of the best individual moments in the series imo. The scene with Jude and Caleb having a heartfelt but heated discussion while smashing the ball at each other is probably my favourite from that game. I'd never heard anyone else mention the British dub before, but it did always strike me as kind of cool actually. It let me even further connect to the characters, being from the West Midlands personally, hearing all the accents that I recognise (even if a bit silly and over the top) who were all these super cool characters with struggles I could connect to playing the sport I love; it really meant a lot to me as a kid. It is definitely amusing to look back on though, Darren LaChance's accent has to be my favourite like come on bro your ass is NOT Japanese. I replayed the original trilogy last summer and it's always such a delight. The first game feels so cozy and nice, it's like stepping into a warm bath full of childhood memories, I can't help but smile from sheer nostalgia half the time I'm playing. The second game brings the feels and my favourite story of the bunch, and the third is still a really fun victory lap for the trilogy with some great aspects of it's own. I love that the third game is a 3DS game and they can now animate the ball in the 2D world, which they used for some really cool training scenes. Sorry to ramble so long if anyone read this lmao, this video was just such a great love letter to Inazuma Eleven and it really brought a lot of thoughts and feelings to my mind. I hope to make my own retrospective videos discussing the original three games once I get a job and can buy some equipment/software. That probably won't be for some years though because I'm barely holding up with just my university degree right now lmao. Thank you for making this video :)

Thought that you would talk about Inazuma Eleven GO because even though it’s as simple as the other series storywise, but if you scratch the surface, you would find that it has a very deep story about liberate school football league from corrupt association which made it very interesting story in my opinion

the thing i like the most about inazuma eleven is how it inspire you to evolve, which in most part of the season raimon/inazuma japan are the underdogs and evolve as the season goes on and even during the matches, and this culminates in the last FFI game every little giants players were based on the first raimon mainly, and they were so much better than everyone in the FFI, then comes their match with inazuma japan and of course they were dominating them, but once inazuma japan ties the game it forces the little giants realize they were wrong and make them evolve also, with the entire match being both teams surpassing themselves until the end

Really glad to see this video popping up on my feed. Inazuma Eleven was a pretty big thing in my country, and I have really fond memories of watching the anime and spending many hours playing the second game. I don't even like football, but the over-the-top style of the series was fuel for my 8-year old mind. You definitely did it justice!

Man I can still remember, me and my younger brother exiting school, running back home so we could watch the show before it ends. Buying snacks on the way home and singing along with the intro, it is one of our most precious memories together, especially for us being Brazilians where football (soccer) is very popular in general.

I watched that show in Arabic when I was kid and it was such an awesome and inspirational story and the Arabic voice acting was great too and I made sure my small siblings watched it and sure enough, they loved it too.

This show used to air in an Arabic channel called spacetoon (it's still up to this day ) this show was one of it's gems and every kid knows that show , the Arabic version had a banger opening , voic acting and even the name was changed to football heros (ابطال الكرة) I remember some kids trying to do their Technics and that was funny , this show was a pillar in my childhood and I would never forget it even in a million year

I need to rewatch this show. And the Go sequels. For the 7th time. Man I love Inazuma Eleven so much. Thank you for making this video! Inazuma was my very first anime. I watched the Dutch dub on tv back when it was airing and something about it was so... different to me. So I looked it up and found out there was more than just the first season, but in English. I watched that, but halfway through season 2 I could suddenly only find episodes in this strange language (I'd never heard Japanese before haha) and the characters had weird names. After a while my curiosity won out and I ended up watching the rest as well as Go and its sequels while they were airing and I've never looked back. The localised names both make me cringe and feel really nostalgic. I can still quote some parts of the first season in Dutch from how many times the episodes aired. Such an amazing show

This anime is so beloved it's one of the very few I can find a complete record of the dutch dub of. Once in a while me and my dutch friends go "oh right I forgot about inazuma eleven, that show fucking slaps" and we spend the week doing watch parties on discord. I love this show so much, I'm going to download every episode of the dutch dub I can find and keep it on my hard drive incase it ever gets taken down. Edit: Oh also Afuro Terumi (or as I know him, Byron Love) was my bisexual awakening. Thank you for that, king. Even trying to remain objective I still think his dutch voice is far and out the best dub for the character (especially given that Inazuma Eleven's dub was made before dutch dubs devolved into directly translating sentences from english, leading to weird and unnatural sentence structure)

First of all great video man, it deserves many more views. I loved Inazuma Elevn too as a kid and I both watched the anime and grinded the games so hard but I always thought that the games were made after the anime and not the opposite. You blew my mind lol

The spanish voice acting is the typical semi-cringe anime dub but... it has its charm, we all grew up with the dubbed anime on TV and THE OPENINGS ARE GODDDD if you sing "arriba, chuta, la victoria es tuya" on the street on Spain, someone is gonna follow you 100% (if they don't think you're crazy or smth)

It's not often that I find a video that almost exactly mirrors how I grew up with a series but Inazuma 11 really hit me in the exact same way. It was the first anime I truly felt pationate enough to read subtitles for and got me to start being super active and join clubs thanks to it's influence. It will always be one of my favourite pieces of fiction ever for how much it shaped my youth!

Grew up with this show, and MAN, was it awsome. Also, I don't care whether it's nostalgia or not, the Dutch version of the intro is absolutely the best one. The Japanese intro just don't hit the same. Then again, probably _is_ just nostalgia...
