In no country, I think the main character is like in his 30s and his girlfriend is 19. Other than that I don’t think there’s any weird sex stuff. Don’t forget prostitution as well. McCarthy has me laughing when one of the boys tells the man in blood meridian that he heard there’s so many whores in that one town that you can catch the clap miles away if the wind is just right. Actually pretty funny.

In the film " No County etc" if Josh Brolin"s character Llewelyn Moss didn't go back to the massacre site that night(he had no reason to) there would have been no story. Chigurh ( Javier Bardem) would have never known about Moss. Brolin had no reason to return..he already had the money.

The primary reason why men are attracted to wider ranges of women is because they don't inherently associate women with danger. For women, getting with the wrong guy is a risk you often can't afford, and so obviously this will result in being attracted to less men. Something else to note is that women compete for guys more quietly, whereas the situation where a bunch of guys gather around a single girl at the bar is like a dynamic of Purchasers showing up to a Market. Women would do this more if they felt they had the communal power and security to do so. My overall point with this is that it is not because life is just some unfair competition for guys who are slightly below-average, it is because women experience a power-differential which makes guys generally unapproachable unless they have overwhelming green flags.
