Kulang ang kuwento. Before that time visayans enjoyed good life the reason why they were friends with the Spanish. The reason why revolution in Luzon was a failure since visayans fought against the Luzon people that the visayans continue to live in abundance. Later on the Ilonggo visayans started to fight for the sake of the whole country though that means of sacrificing their bounty of good living and friendship with the Spanish. It was headed by Martin.

True, though I still I can't believe people would call Ilonggos as traitors, fun fact during the Spanish expeditions, pre colonial kingdoms such as Sugbo and Tondo were either neutral or againts the Spanish, only the people of Iloilo were the few ones to welcome Spain with open arms so maybe that's some of the reasons why Spain hadn't been so harsh with the people there 🤔

Yeah right the Cry of Sta. Barbara was Ilonggo opportunism at its best. The Ilonggos only rose in arms when they were sure the Spanish Empire was in its way out. At the height of the revolution against Spain Iloilo even tried to send shiploads of Ilonggos to Manila to help the Spaniards. In fact aftr losing out to the natives in Manila, the Spaniards moved the capital to Iloilo where they were eagerly welcomed by the Ilonggos. Just read Iloilo' s coat of arms. Translated in English it means MOST LOYAL AND NOBLE CITY OF ILOILO. Loyal to the crown of Spain that is. Besides the Ilonggo principalia never liked to join with the Tagalogs. They wanted a republic of threir own. Check out your history.
