@@prabhakar0076 the president of roscosmos said sanctions affected their scientific payload (im guessing scientific instruments need imported components) and that they had to launch in haste to reach the south pole first, it was planned to launch 3 months earlier but was delayed and they rushed it last chance they had (to land before India), it basically was launched with minimal scientific payload, in the hopes of getting there first and the lack of science was blamed on the sanctions. Indeed, rushing didn't help.
