China is actually one party state there is no stock market there. There companies buy companies not invest in existing companies. So FII tend to stay invested for long time due to low liquidity. Same caused evergrande fiasco because their bonds became a type of derivatives which were being traded and when evergrande was not allowed to take loans they filed bankruptcy and bonds became invalid, FII became scared and started taking money out of emerging markets back to us market causing bull run. This accelerated when Trump won and currencies started. Falling, INR is actually doing pretty good, now problem is when this ends a lot of countries would be in recession and a pretty severe one at that.
