HEAT - High Energy Anti Tank HEAT Rounds are the rockets you use if you are fighting a tank. They are made from high explosives and are called as 'shaped charges'. A thermobaric bomb is a 'fuel-air' bomb. It is made with a mixture of high temperature oil based fuels - Napalm or similar along with an oxidiser charge which gives it a massive oxygen boost enabling it to create a massive fireball tens of meters wide. Carl Gustaf is not a rocket luncher it is a recoiless gun. Recoiless guns are more similar to tank guns or artillery guns then rocket lunchers because it fires shells and not rockets.

Carl Gustav is 84mm Recoiless rifle and the rounds fired by it has airburst mode . The rounds have fuse which can be set to activate mid flight at certain distances . This is helpful in taking out infantry behind cover and concealment. The round explodes midair and sends fragmentation in every direction thus causing maximum damage to enemy combatants. It uses HE , HEAT , HEF etc... Whereas RPG model rocket grenades are fin stabilised but unguided rockets yet they're quite effective in trained hands ...so simple that they can be fired by an caveman hahahaha.... The only downside to RPG rockets is the lack of safety cap/mechanism on the tip . If you bump the rocket on it's nose it will go off so it's advised to keep the rockets in the pouch/containers when not in use.

Carl Gustav is rifled. Carl Gustav's round doesn't poke out of the front of the tube and so the round is protected from shrapnel while firing. An RPG round could explode due to enemy shrapnel.

Introduced in 1948, not 46. It generally does not launch rockets, there is no propellent in the projectile, all the energy to launch it towards its target is from the initial explosion in the tube. (There might be some special ammunition with a more rocket like function).

The concept is to provide a variety of platforms to a one man portable weapon, the energy is thrown out of the back of the system that's why it's recoilless, downside to it is that the energy loss costs velocity of the round and accuracy but if the energy is not expelled out, the system will need bipods or tripods and will be heavier where one man portability will not be possible..... You can shoulder fire an artillery if it's recoilless... And recoil has nothing to do with accuracy.. more recoil means more energy, more powder, more velocity, more range, more penetration and more accuracy

Priya kant ju That doesn't relate anything. Recoilless rifle is older than RPG and still holds advantage due to its research. RPG has it's own category. In fact people think that All anti tank weapons before both world wars are RPG which is false. RPG uses rocket and Recoilless rifle uses gases and some machanism that creates trusts which counteracts the recoil. Both are different. And both were created in world wars. RPG has it's own category and Recoilless rifle has its own.
