Why indian ringneck parrot plucking feathers | signs of plucking

This is Rio, a female indian ringneck. Last year in August, she started plucking her feathers, exactly when she turned 3 and became hormonal. We also moved to a new house and got a lot of new responsibilities. Since then, we've been struggling with plucking. In order to facilitate her treatment, we acquired a male Payo, which she accepted very well. In addition, we made a bird room so that they spend a lot of time outside the cage. In one of the following videos, I will show you her therapy and how the treatment is progressing. ❤

Great to see your post again. I hope Rio is recovering and I'm glad she has bonded with Payo. Funny how Rio and Payo have different bathing patterns, just like my Luna (female albino prefers a dish w water) and Jasper (male Cleartail prefers a spray bottle). God Bless and keep us updated.

She looks like that because of the feathers, yes they bonded perfectly.. watch the videos earlier and you will understand why she pluck the feathers and that's exactly why we got Payo. Thanks for watching! 😊
