But I also watch other medias/TV like Channel News Asia, Aljaziera, RT tv, CGTN, CNN, Euronews, DW, NHK etc. My conclusion recently has been that the Western medias and their like minded, are ganging up to broadcast anti China news and propaganda against China. While CGTN (China Global Television Network) never attack the Western nations. It just brings news about development in China, its people, the nation's progress, its science development etc. So I think the Western medias especially the BBC are hostile to China. They also broadcast fake news about China, because I check it myself with my colleagues in China, or when I visited China several times. This sort of gesture is to make sure the existence and legitimacy of CCP. It was the US that persuaded the G7 to accept China into WTO. It was a sign of acceptance of China into the world. But China always treat the west as enemy. This was stated by chairman Deng himself. By continuing to play as a victim, CCP instill victim mentality on the people, thus stirring up nationalistic passion among her own citizen and treat everybody as enemy. Fun story. I worked as an English teacher in Shanghai for 14 years. Two of my students were on vacation in Hong Kong during their riots. A month later they returned to Shanghai and they told me in class (when we raised the topic) that they were both approached by an American man, speaking perfect Cantonese, who offered them both money to join in on the protests. Quite a few other mentions of this popped up over time and with investigation it turned out that the US and UK consulates (embassys) were running around offering groups of teenagers money to join in with the protests and telling them to "just stand with the crowd, you don't need to do anything"

I’ve added CGTN to my regular news ecosystem these past few months and think their journalistic standards are quite high. I think it’s important to have a different opinion of events within China as the BBC is rather biased against China and let’s itself down with its undue focus on what are inherently legitimate domestic issues for China (HK, Xinjiang, Taiwan). However, CGTN needs to be wary of not playing the BBC at their own game of exaggerations, because I have indeed read and viewed many BBC editorial pieces on China that have documented and discussed China’s remarkable economic growth and successful fight against the virus. Only a few days ago, BBC China correspondent Stephen McDonell travelled to Wuhan to interview residents there, all of whom gave their own positive views of their governments’ Covid 19 strategy. If CGTN are to truly become a global player in news coverage and want to gain and keep the attention of more ‘western’ audiences, it would serve them well to tighten their already high editorial standards and not engage in exaggerations of their own.
