It has been more than three years since U.K. voters said they wanted to leave the European Union. Yet despite being scheduled to depart from the EU in March 2019, Brexit has now been postponed several times. So, what is the hold up? CNBC’s Silvia Amaro explains why the process is taking so long.

It's only complicated to remainers and the EU who needs our money a no deal is the perfect result, as for close try these figures of the election so we leave and the EU will be bankrupt if they want to be difficult and this comes from the bundestag as tariffs on Germany's car manufacturers to name one and as Germany are the EU bank and the people of Germany are talking about leaving the EU if they have to make up the financial losses caused by Brexit.

No, it's easy in only 1 way. They leave, they take the damage. The problem wasn't remainers or EU at all, it's the Brexiteers wanted to imagine a leave without damage, even before Johnson they have the vote, they just didn't satisfy anyone. What you say are pure rubbish. The UK have always needed the single-market, it was why they join in the first place and that has not change. The reason Johnson 'get the deal' was he conceded to what the EU wanted and so it's fine with the EU. Should he try to maneuver a no-deal again, the UK should prepare for an economic meltdown. And still have to pay whatever it owe, or suffer further lose of credit rating. FFS 3 years on the people that think it was a good idea are mainly in the UK with no clue how anything works, or people waiting outside the UK to gut it's market or short the pound. Anyone who think this is a good idea can ever give a good reason. They keep pretending the EU will loose this loose that but pretend UK loses are nonexistence, when loosing the single-market will be the greatest disaster likely in 2 centuries. The Single market matter far more then the UK, period.

Brian MacAdam That is most definitely a myth perpetuated by remoaners who refused to accept the result of the referendum whilst clutching their pearls. Anyone could spout those nonsense as much as they liked but unless it came from the ruling party’s leader who was David Cameron it’s pretty much meaningless. Have a look at David Cameron’s speech regarding a possible 2nd vote. He said there was on turning back once the first vote was decided. There will not even be another vote after negotiations have concluded. I’m not making this up, just look it up. Happy to help :)

The EU Commission is just a modern version of the old USSR politburo (as Gorbachev pointed out at an event in Paris several years ago). The politburo creates the laws, the MEPs merely rubber stamp them with no ability to alter these laws in any meaningful way. Guy verhofstadt compared the EU 7 year economic plan with the soviet union 5 year economic plan. What a giveaway! Altiero Spinelli's (1907-1986) name is above the main entrance to the EU. Spinelli was an Italian communist who set out a manifesto which is being followed by the EU. The European elections are just an illusion of democracy. The whole reason for the EU is to replace Europeans with a low IQ, mixed race. Look at any world IQ map to see the relative IQs of the world. Germany produced a leaflet for illegal immigrants, "how to make love to a German woman". You couldn't make it up! Any financial arguments are just a smokescreen as suggested by Jean Monnet, co-founder of the EEC who died in 1978. The Barcelona Decalaration 1995 (relates to importing muslims), the Marrakesh Declaration 2018 (relates to importing sub saharan Africans) and the UN migration Pact 2018 all facilitate the replacement of Europeans as stated in Practical Idealism. They were trying to do this very gradually but the recent "crisis" has illuminated their plan. (This "migrant crisis" itself was orchestrated by the UN in 2000, so not really a "crisis".) Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi wrote "Practical Idealism" in 1923. The EU is based on this book. He designed the flag and suggested Beethoven's Ode to Joy as it's anthem. Perhaps those of us who have woken up should have JSBach's "sleepers awake" from Cantata No.40. In December 2018, junker admitted coudenhove-kalergi's influence in the creation of the EU (maybe he thought if the cat's out of the bag, why deny it?). For decades Europeans were told to reduce family size to save the planet (the guardian, a UK newspaper, was still printing this in 2017!). Africa's population is exploding (seems africans were not told to save the planet!). Junker and his puppy,macron, are going to import 200 million Africans in the next 20 years becuase of falling birthrate. Why not just encourage Europeans to have more babies....or doesn't that fit the coudenhove-kalergi plan? Well, you did ask!

@@MartinREC It really isn't. The commission is selected by the elected heads of state of each of the 28 member countries. The purpose of the commission is to protect national sovereignty. For example, Germany has 96 MEP's while Croatia has 11. What way is there to stop Germany from implementing legislation that significantly hurts Croatia? Under a pure parliamentary system there would be nothing. However the EU commission means that Croatia can veto any legislation which is doesn't like, thereby, maintaining national sovereignty in Croatia. Facts don't matter to you do they?
@MartinREC
@MartinREC 4 жыл бұрын
@@jaredgarbo3679 True, that's how the commission is created but that is just a facade. If you don't believe there are similarities then listen to Vladimir Bukovsky in the documentary, Britain on the brink. In part 4 (7 mins) he show how the EU is just the USSR 2.0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpeoaWiAeNajeLM Try to watch the 10 part documentary, "Europa-the last battle" it's on bitchute, vimeo and available as a free download on archive.org. Further, the EU is just a brick in the wall. The eventual aim was to have five union blocs (until we messed it up for them). Look how similar the UN and the old USSR emblems are. www.lepantoinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Communist-UN-01.jpg The African Union is going in the same direction as the EU (more slowly, granted). I.E ever advancing integration and heading towards a common currency. China doesn't have be worked on it's already a communist bloc. The North American Union was to have the Amero as a common currency and increasing integration but that fell apart because Mexico is such a basket case.

Brexit isn't that complicated, but every possible Brexit outcome leads to consequences even most Brits don't want. But hey, BoJo is PM again, so whatever happens, there's noone else to blame (even if he will definitely try to do so, when Brexit goes wrong) He already shifted human and workers rights to the legally not binding political declaration, and page 48 of the conservative manifesto can easily be interpretes as a path to a one party dictatorship (like China), but the Brits (mainly Englishmen) voted for it. Disturbingly funny is, that Boris is celebrating the UK's future independence from the EU, while denying a similar option to Scotland. Democracy has to have some limits, I guess.
@orientexpress1509

undogmatisch Scotland had their referendum back in 2014 and they voted to remain in the UK. The Scots were told it was a once in a generation decision. In 2016, the UK voted to leave the EU in a once in a generation referendum. Unlike many elitist MPs, Boris kept his word to honour both referendums. There is consistency in treatment.

undogmatisch Boris did indeed say that, and if he had a preference he would have done it using Royal Prerogative powers but as you are aware Gina Miller successfully challenged that in 2016. The outcome of the judgement stated that an Act of Parliament is the only means of withdrawing from the EU. The remain-controlled Parliament voted to delay the exit despite Boris’ pledge to leave on that date. Whilst I disagreed strongly with that decision I respected it because the application of the law was correct. Democracy is indeed an ongoing process but you’re incorrectly conflating that with the conditions attached to a referendum. If you struggle to grasp the meaning of once in generation, may I suggest you look it up. It’s no good crying over that salient point after the vote. I recall no one had an issue with that prior to the vote. It’s akin to changing the conditions/rules of a game after the game has ended. Again, democracy was upheld and honoured. Boris is not forcing Scotland out of the EU. It’s part of the UK and the result of the referendum applied to the entire UK. Again, i draw your attention back to the issue regarding changing the rules after the game has ended. Scotland could have insisted the government added a caveat to the referendum bill to accommodate that request that if Scotland voted very differently to the rest of the UK, then the government would have to respect that decision. But zilch. No point whinging after the vote. Most sane people would agree that democracy was upheld and respected. But I’m sure democracy haters and fascist would disagree. You agree?
@undogmatisch5873
@undogmatisch5873 4 жыл бұрын
@@orientexpress1509 BoJo simply made a totally unrealistic promise, given that parliament was as deeply devided, as the rest of the country. He promised it anyways. Your "once in a generation" is a pretty meaningless phrase, with absolutely no legally binding substance, like BoJo's promise. Not to forget, that the scottish referendum was held, before Brexit was even a word. You already agreed that democracy is an ongoing process, do you also agree that an essential aspect of a democracy it to enable ppl. to change their minds? Changing the rules after the game is pretty exactly what the tories did. During the campaigns for the scottish referendum, the tories main argument was that a United Kingdom (incl. Scotland) would be more powerful within the EU. Two years later, everything changed. Scotland voted overwhelmingly to stay in the EU, while the tory-talking-point from two years prior turned out to be utterly meaningless. You're right, the 2016 referendum applied to the entire UK. Something, the Scots would obviously like to change in the very same way way, the Overwhelmingly english) majority of the UK voted to leave the EU. I'm fully aware that the UK is based on a completely differen legal basis than the EU, but that doesn't change the simple fact that BoJo is deying Scotland the very same sovereignity, he is bragging to have achieved for the UK. While Scotland is part of the UK, the UK is not a single country, with harmonised rules and regulations. It is, as the name already suggests, a union of countries, and if one of these countries says that it wants to leave the union, another member shouldn't have the right to deny it. The disturbingly funny part of this story is, that BoJo it doing with Scotland exactly, what he accused the EU to do to the UK.

People who cannot cope with the others always leave from their environments. Same situations for Britain from EU, same for USA from China, Russia, Ukraine trade agreements to flee from them asap as proclaiming China et al. as thieves which is totally false. Wages per month in the USA , Britain are 5 - 10 times more than BRICKS countries.

This is a pretty bad video. It's complicated because we're trying to undo a 40 year relationship in the space of 2 to three. All while the political establishment is split amongst themselves, and so is the electorate. No matter what happens it will negatively affect people. If we leave we become poorer, if we stay then the politicians have betrayed the democratic process and will lose the last shreds of their legitimacy. Any party that oversees the disaster will be broken for a generation. The solution? Do what the Tories have done which is stoke racial tensions to levels not seen in decades, and use that as a cover. When the shit hits the fan people will hate immigrants so much that 15 years of Tory policy won't matter, they'll blame the immigrants anyway.

Handoko Davidson Wow. More like scotland will follow england. You don't care about scotish feelings. The DisUnited Kingdom must break apart, it is better for the nation. The UK is crumbling whether you like it or not. The 4 nations should part ways for your parliament has different interests and goals and most importantly envisionment. That statement you said is like you treat scottish like slaves. I am Against brexit and Boris Johnson will instigate more turmoil to Britain. Eu is dependent on UK and so is UK. With strong trade ties, you can't jeopardize it like its nothing. There will be untold repercussions to your economy. Negotiating trade deals and strenghtening ties may take decades in fact, and you are willing to nullify the free trade like it was nothing. Half of your trade comes from EU and if you leave, then the standards on trade will be integrated and incorporated based on WTO terms. UK is losing in the attrition caused by brexit and due to that, London is not a hedgemon as the financial power of the world. You have once cemented your postion as a global power and now hasten your decline today! An example of what i am saying is the British Pound waning and devaluing. DisUnited Kingdom or England alone is still powerful but will lose its significance greatly. Brexit is a plight that must be addressed and ultimately revoked if you want stature and significance as a Global Power.

The flawed Brexit referendum started it all with a 52% to 48% win for Brexit, now the split is happening with 43% of the electorate voting for the conservatives, bad to worse.

@@Martyntd5 OK 44%, you miss my point; massive social and economic change brought on by less than half of the electorate. Boris is now calling for a comprehensive treaty to be done in about a year. He claimed no border controls on Northern Ireland (did that promise sway any voters ?) and now another referendum in Scotland.... it goes on and on

@Bilbo Baggins Boris and the conservative elite are content to leave with no deal (do we even know that?). The Brexit process has NEVER offered a clear "end game". There has never been a winning vote on a clear option. The cons won the election on a 44% popular vote. Does that seem like a "contented" population?
@Martyntd5
@Martyntd5 4 жыл бұрын
@@brianmacadam4793 A 44% popular vote is as good as it ever gets. Ever. Contented or not, the losers have to accept they have lost. Frankly, if the losers had been a little more accommodating to that fact over the last 3 years ...and a lot less obstructive, you may have achieved some kind of compromise. But you weren't, so now we get the brexit we want and remainers have squandered their chance to influence the outcome in a reasonable way. That is a situation of your making. The Irish border is an EU problem, not ours - we don't have an internal market we are desperate to protect, they do. If the EU are motivated to do a deal, one will get done. If they are not, it wont. I'm happy either way. There are worse positions to be in than having the US and the EU in competition with each other to do a trade deal with us. It's all good as far as I'm concerned.
