Why is Call of Duty's Anti Cheat So Bad?

Call of Duty has a serious Cheater problem and the Ricochet anti cheat doesn't seem to be doing much to stop it...

I just play dmz it’s not economical with my skill set to buy a game that cheaters thrive in. Haven’t bought a cod game since vanguard. Activision won’t do anything about it because it’ll eat into their profits.

COD refused to get with the times until it was a big enough problem during Verdansk. Acted on their own accord to "create" an anticheat, instead of using something already established like Easy Anticheat. After the first round of cheaters/horrid balancing in the beginning of the year I am happy to say I haven't played Warzone since late January. Sad to see it hasn't changed, yet still blissfully hopeful it will be in a better spot this November with BO6.

I really appreciate Phixate bringing this topic in his videos. Because I know A LOT. I MEAN A LOT of streamers are cheating but they hide it. But streamers are not the only problems. Because their viewers who are basically the sheep, they defend the streamer too hard whenever they get accused of using hacks. Of course these long time DMZ/Warzone streamers knows how to not look like they are hacking. Do you really think they will use aimbots that look so obvious? They use wallhacks and they are good at hiding it so it would be hard to spot it first time but if you open up your eyes and really start to loook at it, evidences are definitely there, like plenty evidences. But, they never get SERIOUSLY accused of being hackers and the reason is also in the COD playerbase. Sometimes I am so dumbfound because I can't believe how the COD community playerbase are so naive. Time to wakeup people. First step of solving any problem is realizing there is a problem. We as COD community has to take this seriously. I am so tired to see comments or viewers defend an obvious hackers. Just get good and get REAL SITUATIONAL AWARENESS, and you will see how many of them who killed you are actually hackers. I tell you, there are A LOT more hackers than you'd think. We need to take this seriously people. We need to take actions. I know there is not much hope in this community because if you look Tiktok, Tiktokers openly use aimbots to create cool clips like mega clutch spin shot or mega high sensitivity aimbot shots which all disgusts me but if you look at their fanbase and the comments, people praise those clips people actullay get excited to see a hacker doing hacker thing. I am genuinely disgusted by that. So here's my appreciation Phixate. I am not a regular viewer of yours but I am fan of this game and I'm just lil tired of all these hackers I encounter in DMZ nowdays

Activision don’t care, people keep buying the game and spending money on bundles and battle pass. There’s no incentive to fix anything. Vote with your wallet and your play time, go support developers that care and who take the issue seriously.

Ricochet, when it was first introduced, if a player was cheating, the bullets would Ricochet off and not do anything to you it happened to me the first week it was introduced I don't know what happened to that part but it was awesome the cheaters were so angry I was laughing they finally did something to stop cheating

I've played COD since well.....COD. I stopped COD in 2008. To many cheaters even back then. Then a couple years ago, OUT OF NOWHERE I got four kids now. My son comes to me "hey, COD Warzone is free" Damn says I, lets try it. We have some fun, I even win a solo. But then cheaters as usual. Also niki manage skins.....

Why would they be serious about cheating? Free game and people sell accounts. Those accounts end up purchasing bundles. The game makes so much money that they don't care about cheaters. All they care about is the cash and we all live for the good old days of Verdansk... loyal gamers paying hard earned cash to a company that just doesn't care. More players = more money.

Stodeh reported a cheater and he immediately got banned. But when the ppl who send money and report cheaters to only see them everyday. Ive got way more time in cod but nothing happens when we report cheaters

Brazilian servers ain't that terrible with cheaters, it's mostly the one-shot guns or shotguns with dragon breath builds and the people using it in the dumbest way possible. With that said, it's still possible to find cheaters around and when you do, just give it up, they are terrible players but they see way more than you, if you can't get any advantages over them, report and leave the lobby, since the anticheat is most likely only there as a souvenir on the game code.
