I'm out of Dryden and Vermillion Bay and Geraldton and I've never SEEN a caribou, and further north there's no road, nothing but muskeg, moose, black bear and First Nations outposts. And gold mines.

Bears, yes Bears, way to many, and that's biggest problem for caribou all across Canada. Cut down on population and see the caribou come back. Bears eat a lot of calfs. Fur huggers will always deny that.
