Chadd’s greatest strength is his heart, followed by his ability to trade in the exchange, his eyes simply work better than others from being trained to swap leather from childhood, it is one reason that contributes to the lack of knockdowns. Combined with diversified pressure it is as you say, a nightmare for opponents. Your accumulation and suffocation take is spot on. He is an extremely well rounded fighter, there’s very little in the game that is off limits to him.

Awesome vid. Head coach was telling me last night that because of the use of 4oz gloves now becoming more popular (ONE), punches in Muay Thai are starting to become a lot more valuable and we're seeing a decrease in the number of shin checks in like manner - fighter's strategies are changing even amongst the Thai's, feinting more to then allow the hands to get loose and hit the target. Interesting observation and I can say I've noticed a bit of a pattern with this also. Based on what you've presented here, Collins would be a major threat to all the top tier guys at his weightclass in ONE for example, especially so with 4oz gloves.

Ye that's a really good point! I think Chads style would excel in the little gloves, he'd be such a problem in ONE. I feel like the Thais are fighting way more wreckless in the 4oz haha.

Most of the best world champions Often get the most talent from Muay Thai, whether it be Chingiz, Marat, Petrosyan. That's why none of the recent Japanese fighters stood out. That was because he had too much faith in his karate training skills. Collins is another person who has a good Muay Thai background. Therefore, he is another foreign fighter who has a talent for fighting. For this reason, he fought with Petchpanomrung evenly.

Ye Muay Thai is such a strong base for any striking sport. Chadd isn't put off by anything he has a really strong will to win! Thanks for commenting

Hi Pro Striking! Great video! Could you do a video on Masato Kobayashi, the Silver Wolf? If I remember correctly, he had a base in Muay Thai and did a few Muay Thai fights too!

Great breakdown. I feel super identified with his style. I wonder how he gets his cardio in order to be this relentless in the ring (maybe you could give some suggestions). I have a problem though, to get into the rythm of pressure fighting, what do you think worked so well against Petch that he could get on top of it?
