Last year, Canada and the U.S. traded $440 billion, making the U.S. Canada’s largest trading partner by far. For perspective, China ranked second at just $22 billion, and Japan third at $11 billion. This economic relationship is vital-Canada’s economy would struggle significantly without it. Having grown up a mile from the Canadian border, I can confidently say Canada is no enemy of the U.S. The real issue at hand isn’t trade but addressing the flow of illegal migrants crossing from Canada. Trump’s focus is on solving that specific challenge, not on undermining the strong bond between our two countries.

The entire reason for (11SEP and) Operation OEF was EU-IRAQ's 'Oil for Food' drove the price of oil below Saudi's ask price. _Prince Bandar came to WADC and said time for war!!_ Memory seems to be an ancient art. Iraq had nothing to do with 11SEP. The WMDs were all destroyed in the First Iraq War. OEF was about oil supply destruction. Supply exports for trade balancing versus keeping Oil Patch profits will be Trump's strategy, since $3 natural gas here is worth $15 as LNG in EU, thanks to blowing up NORD2. So higher US natural gas prices, and plan to refill SPR also means higher prices at the gas pump also.

He tried to bring coal back last time, but it didn’t work because natural gas had become so cheap due to fracking that it basically replaced coal as the main electricity generation fuel. Now you got all these companies building their own nuclear power plants to power their data centers. These will generate more electricity than just what the data centers use and they will also make the cost of building additional nuclear power plants cheaper. This can lead to the new nuclear plants and existing renewables making fossil fuels less important for electricity generation. Americans will probably still use ICE vehicles for a while but that’s up to the industries to offer affordable electric cars while keeping American autoworkers employed.

US has about 275 billion barrels of untapped oil. However, US uses 21 million barrels of oil every day. That means the US has (275billion/21million) 13750 days worth of oil. That equates to 37.6 years worth of oil (13750/365). That is not a lot of oil if you really think about it, considering that calculation is based on current consumption rate. With AI's demand for energy and population growth we should expect that oil should last lot less than that, about 30 years. That is in our children's lifetime, we will run out of oil. What are we going to do then? Scary world.

Because as far as I'm aware no Western country has built a new nuclear plant on time and on budget in the last forty years. They take a decade just to get through environmental approvals, plus another decade or two to build. Meanwhile you can stick a solar panel up in about ten minutes. By the time the nuclear plants were operational the world would already have missed the target for global warming. Solar and battery prices are falling year on year - the price of the battery for my home system has more than halved in the last three and a half years making nuclear less and less competitive. Nuclear is a sensible option for baseload if you already have it, and if new designs were to prove easier and cheaper to build that would be great - but you have to get past the public's antipathy to nuclear power.

This shows how detached these so called experts are. Everyday Americans are extremely sensitive on gas pump prices because it has a direct impact on our monthly budget. Any spike or lowering of gas price turns daily greetings at work to comment on the price. Vast majority of socal residents have used or are using apps to be informed on current local gas station prices. All local news broadcasts include a segment on gas price and the cheapest gas station in socal like weather forecast. So-called experts saying what "everyone in America thinks/knows" need to stop wishful thinking, stop looking at the spreadsheet, get out here and talk to people. We begrudgingly deal with high gas prices because we have to.
