I didn't watch this video and I was about to comment the same thing. Plus the fact that their parents teach them how to sneak in booze and drugs so you don't have to pay for them when you get in to X venue. We Gen Y'ers caught the tail end of the "rave" scene back in the early 2000s. We know how to sneak booze into places that charge 20 bucks for a can of beer.

Venues are greedy, I’m 54 and seen concert prices go up 500+% in tickets and beers. The prices don’t equate to wages in growth

33 year old here. No snowboarding, no music festivals for 4 years. Just convinced myself I'm not doing anything fun this year either. Idk if I'm getting older, but everything sucks right now, and I work to hard for money to spend it on mediocre/ overpriced events. Get messed up at home bros. Subscribed I like you guys.

I'm 37 and I realized that "raves" were the coolest thing back in the day. Once those became super illegal everything became "festivals". Most of which were not worth the price and didn't deliver the same experience as a real rave. I'm so sad that time has come and gone.

I DJ’d for 5 years. You didn’t miss much. Maybe some drugs, but ravers are the Worst. Such a self indulgent, up their own ass scene. You can’t even have a conversation with anyone cuz they’re all way too high.

In Canada it's even worse. Drinks are like $15-$20 each at large venue shows, and club shows aren't that much better - around $12 a beer last time I was at a club in Vancouver. Most of us either take "gummies" or just go sober. Concerts imo are one of the best experiences on Earth and I definitely don't need to be drunk to have a good time, and if I'm in the pit moshing around the last thing I want to be is drunk.

Every year the singer from by band puts on Beer Bash... roughly 10 bands for $35 and bottomless beer is included in the ticket price. As long as he breaks even on the kegs it's a win but we often have money left over to go to the bands. Its the best deal for a metal show youll find anywhere in the area unless you find a free show with free beer.

we'd go to rock on the range 3 days, it cost around 2k for tickets food hotel uber gas drinks parking etc, between two of us we'd spend 500 a day on drinking. i ll never do that again waste of money. 13 dollars for a 16oz beer i could buy almost a case for cost of one beer
