I'm 82 and have been asking myself questions like these for as long as I can remember. Perhaps a benevolent god allows evil to continue because there's no practical way of destroying evil without becoming part of it. Since evil tends to be destructive, perhaps it will ultimately have to destroy itself. This is the concept described in the Bible at Romans 12:21 "Keep conquering the evil with the good." If that's the solution then it's somewhat understandable why the current situation has been going on for so long. The "good God" has been patiently waiting for the self-deluded evil forces to destroy themselves.

The narrative is that we knows that we are in an impermanent and sufferings worlds no matter how much wisdoms, knowledge and efforts of greatest experiences and not to mentioned great compassions that we are not being appreciated at all! I've tried not playing. Things get much, very much, worse. We have to play. I've found ways that work for me now. I laughed it off what I was doing for decades. Now I realise it's me 'working' the game. The challenges get harder but I keep working them. There's no point sharing as we're all different. My life journey led me to this method. It wouldn't work for anyone else. All I can do is reassure. You've always been doing life right as you're still here, on your own terms. We choose how much suffering we can tolerate. If you trust your method, something you may see as silly, you can trust life. There's a lot of help around. You're not alone. Just recognize your help, humbly, and you'll find it never strays. Show arrogance or rejection and it's blocked. You have to find the trust to play the game. Happiness isn't necessarily winning. Understanding is.

@@diggz-he4fk We have to find our own way. Maybe think of times when you thought about something happening. Then it does. It's not coincidence. The journey is to understand how you manifest these coincidences. My only advice is don't try too hard and never summon or act in anger or revenge. Your hidden self is always there, but negativity or arrogance blocks it. Demanding brings you change, but for the worse, like a toddler with a gun. If nothing works, take the hardest path - change yourself. Easy until faced with a bad situation, and you find you haven't changed at all. I'm still learning. Right now life is very hard. I'm being tested. Facing who you really are is horrible. This isn't a path to happiness. Seriously, anyone else trying to face my demons is pointless, as they're not me. That is why I'm not writing a recipe! I have _my_ answers, you have yours. Either play Life or let it play you. I just decided to take control as hell on earth was manifesting. I chose it, now I'm choosing to work with it. The game must be played, or you'll lose everything. It took me to that level to rise and start playing. Smarter people don't fall so far. Simples.

Thank you for, "Going There." A few months ago, Essentia Foundation put out a video called, "Answer to Job", discussing the small book by Jung. Jung's finding's seem to align with yours. In the story, as you mentioned, Job is put through extensive suffering. Finally, when Job was at his breaking point, Job calls out to God and asks why he was allowing so much pain, with everything he had experienced. God does NOT respond with sympathy or concern. BUT rather, God gets frustrated with Job for questioning Him and His control. How does Jung see this? Jung feels God does not show emotion because God does not understand emotion. Could the Higher Realms be learning from us, through OUR experiences. I had heard once that when we, as humans, begin to cry, it brings the attention of those above, as they do not understand emotion. I saw a movie once, where when abductees are taken by E.T's for analysis, they claim not to be intentionally using pain, as they do not understand pain or suffering. Yes. This is all very strange. When we are told to have, "Gratitude for the human journey", then my question would be, "To what end?" Thank you for sharing this perspective.

It is difficult to find fault with anything or anyone we put on high pedestals. Even the very highest of all. When we aim our critical thinking toward the one called "God", often the response from religious circles is shouted "BLASPHEMY". There has to come a time when we question this barrier. Once this and our blind devotion are removed, we begin to take away these pedestals and see "God" with clearer eyes. Some of his acts can be called atrocious. And this can change the way many see this deity. And make us wonder to ourselves, if we should worship him, if he even exists at all, at all Think of it this way. Satan is often called the "Dark Lord". Yet it wasn't he who drowned almost the whole World save a chosen few. It wasn't the "Devil" that chose Abraham. Makes you wonder why knowledge would be evil ( adam and eve). Ive often thought that " free will" is the same as a child's curiosity and god saying ( youll die if you eat the fruit ) was more like a parent saying don't touch the stove BUT the child sees the parent touching the stove all the time so they touch the stove when it's on and get burned. The parent then says ( after the child is horribly burnt) youll now have to deal with that burn forever because I told you not to touch the stove ( all the while leaving out 3 important factors 1. I haven't taught you to use it yet 2. It can be harmful if you use it before your taught how and 3. The damage done is permanent) I feel like God the all knowing being pulled a " because I said so" and now we're still dealing with the consequences of lack of explanation especially since the tree itself was knowledge of good and evil ( why not explain in detail what that meant instead of just " youll die" especially since it literally says without the fruit from the tree nothing was clarified as right or wrong not even the serpent lying.... Like how would they have known what a lie was without the knowledge of good and evil?)

Most of us do not realise how much ancient Indian scriptures (dating back 50,000 years or more) heavily influenced other religious texts (and Jesus himself) including of course the Bible. And indeed 100s of other religions all seem to emanate from the same single source of ancient wisdom. And that original message declared we are all connected to the "same unified divine source". Suggesting we are all extensions of source energy, and this energy is SPLIT to create duality on the material plane, light/dark, good/evil etc. The importance of "not using a label or name" for God/our source was also strongly advised, given there is NO word powerful enough to describe a non-dual entity in any dictionary, in any language, so they just called our source "non-dual". And used "pointing words" like eternal, stainless, the one, untouchable, immutable, the highest of the high, immortal, undivided etc also using words like THAT, in the hope we can see what these ancient teachers are referring to e.g That which is Non-dual. Perhaps this is why we have such a high degree of confusion regarding "whether god is good or evil"...still today??

Well, think about this one. Don't you find it odd if a devout follower of God who walks upright is struck with several diseases their entire life, beg for healing and God doesn't heal them? It serves no actual good purpose not to heal them right? But that is my opinion. My friend has been hit with a ton of sickness and continual problems nonstop. What do you tell your friend who goes through such a thing? God loves you? Not unless you want punched. What do you tell them when they tell you they have been to multiple healing services with no answers to any prayers? What do you tell them when they start saying whatever and they're tired of begging God to be healed? You can't tell them you understand and you sure can't tell them you'll pray for them either. They'll tell you God enjoys seeing them suffer or they'd be healed by now. That's why I don't say much to my friend. I just listen and shut my mouth. I have no answers and I'm not going pretend that I do.

Lovely! A couple of things have occurred to me, this being the second of your videos I've watched today. First is how much the God of the Old Testament sounds like Odin, and as long as we stick with the God represented by Jesus Christ we'll probably be OK. The second is that all these arguments leave out the idea of Man exercises our Free Will. Moving out of philosophy and into the real world, there are multiple examples of long-lived 'primitive' nations living in harmony with nature and having enriching lives. The 'world' that we're thinking of in the context of this video's thesis is the modern, Western one, full of technology, vast imbalances of wealth and resource, and dominated by a 19th century belief that mankind is the pinnacle of creation. I can see where the Gnostics were coming from, with their idea of the demiurge - because the God of Jesus sounds so far removed from the God of the Old Testament. We can see in real time how badly those alternative gods clash just by looking at American Evangelicalism. But I think the biggest problem we face in dealing with these questions is the Roman idea of the Trinity. We've been forced into accepting a set of ideas about God and Christ which supported Rome's political needs for one & half millennia - it's so ingrained that I suspect it's created much of the 'cage' you describe here. If we could break away from that and engage more honestly with our own history and that of the world, I wonder how much of a struggle we'd really have? Myself, I answer the question of why does evil exist by thinking we, the human race, Mankind, created and propagated it ourselves. This position is, possibly, set out at its most accessible by the Marvel film 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. Tony Stark creates an AI to protect planet earth from danger. And the first thing his AI does is conclude that the biggest danger to planet earth is the human race and that therefore the human race needs to be wiped out. Maybe this explains those 'holy wars' in the Old Testament: maybe the only conclusion any entity of godlike power could conclude is that the planet's biggest problem is humanity. (And if the soul is eternal - even if that eternity is mainly spent in Sheol), how much does mortal death matter?

I believe in the God of the bible, so I tell others about him because the bible says I should. But if they don't believe what I believe, that is up to them. When I die I will either know or not know if my belief was founded on truth. If I know, it will be because I will exist with him. If I don't know, it will be because I no longer exsist.

Everything you say and how you're making an argument about the actions of the creator, it's not different from the same argument Lucifer used to have the angels to revelled against the creator. First, I hold this truth to be self-evident, the God and Father of Jesus is good without any evil, for there is no darkness in His being but light, for without Him, nothing exist, for He is the cause for everything good. To understand how evil came into existence, we have to be mindful that they’re “Two” distinct dimensions, one that we ourselves exist in, and the “Parent dimension” that spawned the dimension we are now in. Proof of that “Parent dimension” was made by Albert Einstein’s famous equation E=Mc squared and the atomic bomb. In order for “matter” to exist, Energy/light has to be present. Energy/light is foreign to this dimensional realm, and all matter is proof of that, being in a constant flux of change back into energy as seen by our own sun. Therefore, Heaven exists, with both angels and the children (sons-no daughters) of God. This “physical” dimension of matter was given over to them to maintain the stars for light, with the earth given to maintain an environment for sustaining life, in which “death” substants it, and a “female” counter point maintained it. To oversee the “Creator’s Goal” from Heaven as here in “this dimensional realm,” a Viceroy was given charge over both all the angels and “sons of God.” This “Viceroy” was endowed with both extreme intelligence, and Godlike power in order to rule wisely. But over an unknown period of time, this “Viceroy” turned roque, due to his own self-worth, and evil (division) came into existence. And where there is “division” there is war for total control. And where there is war, there are losers. I hear ya. To know Christ is to know the father. So the old testament gd is nothing like the Christ. That is clear. I don't want to worship a gd who thinks it's OK in the name of religion to allow a woman to be grapped to death. Allow kids to be slaughtered. Starve others. Make Israelites kill babies and animals. Drowning murdering billions of people only leaving 8 alive. I feel this was created to instill fear of God from being afraid and not a nice fear of loosing his love. No one has ever come back after so called enlightenment or a higher thinking. We have enough writing on the wall to know this. However my whole being relates to christ in a way I can't describe. His ways fit me as a human being. But not in this world or lifetime can I ever forgive ritualistic child abuses including torture and death. I cannot turn the other cheek. I know we are created beings as everything is so perfectly balanced. Man is destroying that balance. As I read through the prophecies written 1000s of years ago, I see it all coming true. Can't deny that. I've had enough and I want it to stop now. I am struggling with the truth of this world and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
