Hello KZbinrs! A special hello to my fellow Preloaders and V.I.Preloaders! For those of you that aren't PRELOADERS yet, click the following link to SUBSCRIBE to my channel and become one. / @bethebossofyourmotorc...

In this video, I once again discuss Exercise #4 (Right / Left Turns From A Stop). It's important to be able to make turns straight up. Your motorcycle isn't designed to be held up by your feet while it's moving.
You may be asking yourself, what are PRELOADERS?
PRELOADERS:
Subscribers to this channel who are dedicated to being proficient in slow speed motorcycle operation.
What does PRELOAD mean?
PRELOAD:
Engaging the throttle to raise the RPM’s (revolutions per minute) above idle and holding the throttle there, with the clutch pulled in (no power to the rear wheel, “in reserve” “PRELOADED”). This process will make power to the rear wheel available to the rider immediately when the clutch is opened up. There’s no need for the rider to be concerned with twisting the throttle for power because it’s already PRELOADED.

Robert it’s a pleasure watching your classes. I just wanted to tell you I’m a Lt. Colonel on the Memphis Police Department and those techniques you are teaching I was shown by our elite motorcycle officers. The guys have shown me those very same maneuvers. I find myself practicing at red lights and in everyday turn arounds. I have a 2021 RGS and a couple of days ago I may a quick u-turn and scraped my floorboards for the first time. I was laughing like a kid. I did it all the time on my 2017 M109 but that’s the first time on this RGS. Keep spreading the knowledge and hopefully it just may save someone’s life. Hats off to you sir👍🏾

Robert I appreciate your videos but I will say that the situation needs to be handled cautiously Traffic will not expect a motorcycle to pop out in between cars that have been stopped. All riders should exercise due caution when pulling out in this scenario. Just my opinion
@Rvbiker18

Agree living in Fl , I wouldn't put myself in that scenario . Just wait for traffic to clear out. I've seen to many accident that way. The car waves you out and the cars coming the other way doesn't see you because of traffic and smashes into you .

Thank you. I agree with you. Any scenario that I present, common sense standards must always be applied. Knowing the road you’re on hells as well. The road I was on had no blind spots, except for the truck of course. Once I saw no cars were coming, there was no danger of being struck by a vehicle. It’s never a good idea to take unnecessary risks. 👍🏾

No way around it and it has totally effected my confidence and I feel like I'm a new rider who's never ridden a motorcycle I know it's mostly a mind thing but I am going to basically have to start over and I lost the trust and believe that sucks

Hi! That guy on the white Harley would experience way less problems in a tight upright turn if he stops puttin´his foot on the highway peg from the get-go. That puts him in a sub optimal body position. Maybe he´s got some medical condition to do it that way, but if not, he better get used to not doing that. Greetings from Berlin, Germany, a town where you get fucked up pretty fast without that skill you taught today. A country, where you wouldn´t get a bike license if you couldn´t complete that lesson on rollator speed! :) Keep it up, keep our buddies alive! You can also simply pick your foot up, let the bike "fall" into the turn, then all you have to do is give some throttle/clutch and the bike quickly goes through the 90 degree turn and straightens up. In that situation where you are sitting between the cars, wouldn't you want to get out of that situation ASAP?

This is an obvious topic and skill that is grossly unknown, undiscussed, ignored, and flat out avoided by countless riders. It is frightening to think how many people say and believe they can ride but do so without learning and practicing these skills or even understanding how they transfer to real world riding as you have demonstrated here.

Very good job. That right hand turn from a stop at an incline is tricky. Parking lot security came after me after I tried it 4 times on a Sunday. First time, I went over the yellow line. If there was a car there, I would have hit it. So, I did it until I got better. I’m only on a Grom, not like a Harley. I outran the security, though. I’m also an old lady. So, practice, and thank you for helping us.

Nicely done, short intro, go to the point. I struggle with doing this maneuver straight up and would probably just go forward and let the bike fall catching it with the clutch as you have stated in other videos. Short story, need to practice it more. Thanks for the instruction. Youdaman!
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Larry! It’s my pleasure. 😊 If you can do that, you basically already have this thing licked. When you start to let the bike fall, just catch it right away as you continue to move forward. That’s really all you’re doing to keep the bike straight up anyway. It’s just not an extreme catch. It’s a series of small catches. Does that make sense?😁👍🏾
