Forget what you were taught in school. Jerusalem, considered the holiest city on earth, is not holy at all. And very many of the things you hear about in religion class or in church are not like that at all. Two committed Catholics will prove it to you.
It's an unusual episode of the podcast. It's an archaeological journey to a city holy to Jews, Christians and Muslims. And at the same time a guide to Jerusalem for the advanced, whether believers or not. For people who want to learn more than just a few platitudes that have been repeated for years.
00:00 - everyone knows Jerusalem
01:50 - first time in Jerusalem
04:42 - did Christ walk on these stones?
07:51 - where was the Upper Room really?
11:13 - what did the Last Supper really look like?
14:56 - why is the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher so small?
17:44 - why is Jerusalem not a holy city?
