@@kb9880 it may not seem but it IS costly to divert this water to other water scarce areas cuz they aren't in one place but spread all over the country. Also looking at the condition in Mawsynram, providing such kind of help may be difficult due to land slides and others causes

I would rather go to Mawsynram in winter because I don't like having it rain nonstop when I'm on vacation. I would rather enjoy the hiking places and all of the waterfalls with lots of sunny weather. I would also like to watch sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, and lunar and solar eclipse if there is one happening in Mawsynram.

Because the wind blows straight from Bay of Bengal through the plains of Bangladesh and then collide with the hills of East Khasi hills. I think it's the direction of the wind.
