Why is Nintendo REMASTERING so many games?

Remakes aren’t a bad thing. If you care about the original games then just play that version. Remakes and remasters helps preserve classic games by putting them on modern platforms

If you think about it, the same thing happened in the later years of the 3DS's life. Ports and remakes are a nice way to cap it all off.

@@WickedlyChill You could say that but we were still betting big new releases for its first five years. The quantity of reissues is greater in the 3DS's later years than early years.

Honestly, I prefer older games from older consoles, but as I'm so young I hadn't been able to play them. Nintendo remaking and remastering older games, plus the Nintendo Switch online content allows people like me to be able to play those fantastic games from older generations.

The point of them is to fill out the year while they prepare for the next system. You don't want to use up resources on a console that's already reach saturation at this point(Especially when you most of the heavy hitters are on there already). Plus bringing back old games not only let's a new generation play them, it also prepares them for future sequels as well as see where certain things came from.

because almost all of nintendo's staff are working on the next console and it's games and basically all the big nintendo franchises have already got installments on switch. most consoles just make lower effort, less original games when they are on the way out, like the 3ds, mario and luigi superstar saga remake, luigi's mansion remake, kirby's extra epic yarn, theres more i'm sure

Nahh I think it's mainly because it's the end of the Switch's life span. Might be waiting for the next console tbh!
