Ray, I’ve heard a lot about a man called Bill the Bomb (Billy Williams) also known as Jango. I’ve heard he was as hard as nails and punched like a steam train. Did you know him or have you heard anything about him? I know he went to America and was training with Muhammad Ali’s trainer Angelo Dundee, he turned pro and had 15 or 16 fights and only lost 1 to Johnny Wall (not Waldron) but Bill later avenged the one loss. I know he was from Canning Town and spent a lot of time in prison. There’s no videos of his fights and almost no info about him online. Cheers Ray

Hi ray, hope you're well and happy new year. I follow boxing and have noticed that light heavy weights can really trouble the bigger guys, presume it's the speed that the bigger guy has trouble with. I remember tyson fury fighting steve cunningham and getting put in his arse and cunningham was a cruiser. Also AJ losing to usyk recently is a similar situation, anyway I'm rambling on! I would say this in Lenny’s defence. I were clubbing when Lenny was running the Camden & Hippodrome doors. It was well known in London during theses days, Lenny declared himself the hardest man in London and that Lenny had an open £10k bet with anybody in the country to step out on the cobbles with him. 10 years this open bet lasted and apart from hearing about a big Geordie who had a scrap in the back alley, did well apparently but lost, nobody challenged him.
