Needs to be a cap per player and overall on NIL. The current “model” is crazy. All for players getting something, but millions for high school player is crazy

Yup. Just wait.. them stories are coming. I'd say within the next 4- 5 years, you'll start to hear the "horror" stories from kids that were 'given too much money too soon'. These kids will complain that they received too much money too soon and they did not know how to manage it properly. Most of these kids will just be salty that they threw away millions on partying, and relationships that they're no longer in, and now they're broke, but they'll need someone else to blame because, well, they won't want to take accountability for their own actions. There will always be some issue. They will eventually have to change the current rules, because some kids that lost all of their money will sue and somehow win; because adults on the jury will feel sorry for them and also want to blame the " corrupt corporations" that gave them the money . All the while, people will quickly forget that kids asked for this years before I've visited the future.. it's coming!

Henry Brown from Middletown went to Missouri. Scored the only 3 points in bowl game against Penn State. Around the late sixties,; early 70's.

Will PSU continue to pursue top targets that commit early to other schools. Yes. This subject at this volatile point in NIL development is melodrama.

it hurts seeing penn state miss all these recruits :(

It seems as if NIL has played a significant issue regarding the loss of Zollers and Gordon. I do not mind the fact that Penn State is reluctant to getting into paying HS kids to commit.

Penn State football is a traditional blue blood that needs to accept the reality that the JoePa/Bear Bryant era is long gone accept the reality that the James Franklin/Kirby Smart NIL era is here. The reason why Ohio State is succeeding due to their NFL mindset in hiring an NFL coaching staff (Chip Kelly) and the $16 million spent on Football portal transfers.

WR recruiting has been a problem for a very long time. Just because we have 1 or 2 WRs drafted in the past doesn't count for now, you know something is wrong with quality WRs are going to Maryland instead of PS. Size in the trenches has been a problem for a very long time. The fans who are commenting are correct, I think over the next 3 seasons Franklyn will be gone. Question is, who do they bring in as the next PSU Head Coach. WE ARE !!!!!!!!

NIL, and will never be an elite team favored to win a National Championship.

Not getting certain athletes straight from high school appears to a problem however this really saves a lot of money and resources for Penn state. With the prevalence of the portal and nil we can bring players in who are game ready and so the team development process has become more efficient and streamlined. I think fans have a hard time understanding this new process and how it greatly benefits Penn state. Take Julian Fleming much like we’ve seen chop transfer in and dominate so to will Fleming and we didn’t have to spend years of resources on him. Down the line we can bring Zollers into the program ready to start. The other part of the equation falls onto Pat Kraft and the administration both of whom are not holding up their end of bargain in doing what it takes to win championships. Coach Franklin has assembled an avengers like coaching staff for the national championship push in 2024.

Players will got to however pays them the most even if it means playing on a dirt field with high school facilities. Be there a year or two and go into the port

No 5 stars only four true 4 stars committed loosing to top ranked teams 100% of the time every year is hurting them as well this year they're probably drop off a bit 8-4 they struggle against good teams and this year it's going to catch up to them.

Nope, it was definitely 95 with the guys mentioned. I double checked. Curtis was a prep school player but definitely 95 with Mitchell and Harris.

I am gonna try and turn 2 negatives into a positive. In 10 years we are going to be dominating the southern recruiting. Climate change is going to make most of the south unbearable and many of the large schools' stadiums are in disrepair due to violent weather events. State College develops a climate akin to Northern California and recruits are beating down the door. Why do I say this? Because I am in South Florida and it is freaking hot!!

This is devastating to see. I guess we can get used to mediocre seasons now.

It is James Franklin. Who would want to play for a guy that forgets how football and math work whenever he’s in a big game???? Come on at some point everyone needs to wake up. It’s only going to get worse over the next few years when he continues to choke against anyone with a pulse.
