How does one classify or determine the properties or qualities of a 'non-independent JUDGE' ? Who decides the parameters & who verifies/vetts them? Is the sole criteria for an independent JUDGE have to be anti-Govt or rather anti-Modi & would thst alone warm the inner cockles of your subconsciousness.. Many of the points made in the above report about the SEC are valid, infact excellent & the institution truly need a judicious review. But this one about the Commitee to be a headed by an INDEPENDENT -JUDGE is as ridiculous and vague as it can get. Which ruling majority government anywhere amongst the league of so-called democratic nations would appoint a investigative JUDICIAL COMMITTEE or a JUDGE who is blatantly against them? What Ms Dalal said is correct and most important aspect in the contract. The investigation should start from SECI since the Ex CM of AP is claiming that he made agreement with SECI not Adani's Company . By keeping a Govt. arm SECI in the frontline, entire episode is run. This has been in practice with many PSU contracts wherein the contract is executed by a sub-contractor who enters into back-to-back arrangement with PSU. There are some more violations in the contract.
