You’ve got the Miata as the fun (and backup) car no matter what, so what purpose should the vehicle you keep serve? And how long do you want to keep it? I think keeping the Lincoln would be the better bet, especially if you plan on getting something much newer in the future. It serves a very different purpose than your Miata, and if anything breaks it will likely be minor - save for the air suspension. I’d check the life expectancy on that, and the cost of fitting it with standard springs. Fuel is a factor too, especially if you primarily drive city, but the instant MPG gauge is there to help you once you’re going; is that going to be less than the payments on the 3?

Yea it's a daily battle on what to do. I wish my Mazda3 didnt look so good. I keep thinking that in 2 years I'll have no payment on a car with 40k miles. I'm not sure why its so difficult to let it go. I guess finding a buyer and selling for a good price is more of the struggle.

Why in the world keep a car with a payment when you could get rid of it and drive this beautiful Lincoln? The Lincolns tend to be relatively trouble free for 200k+ and this one is in exceptionally nice condition. No contest, I'd say.

I would have kept the Lincoln, those cars are meant for long life and is comfortable

Keep the Lincoln. Paid for, runs great, and will last for 300k miles with just a little care and maintenance.

My long term plan is to bring my 88 Mazda MX 6 GT turbo, stick, back to OEM, make repairs and enjoy it. Nothing like driving a 31 year old mazda that is still in great shape. It now turns heads, this 1st gen MX6.

I love my 2018 3 2.5l touring manual hatch in Soul red. Pretty much just the newer version of yours. I did an led interrior lighting upgrade and plan to do some of the same upgrades you did to yours. Of course I daily mine. I plan to keep it until one of my son's (4 and 7) start driving in a decade. They can have it then and I can get something like a Cayman. Just remember after you jave put money into modding it for yourself, you lose that money with the car. It will not likely increade the value of the car. I'd keep both mazdas. Pay it off. And for the love of God, stay away from the 2019 hatch. Those rear pillars are the size of Texas.

Keep the Miata, sell the Lincoln (like you said, flip it), pay off the Mazda3 with that money, and then save up for a 2020 Mazda3

If I come across a 90s manual civic in great condition, I'll buy it, otherwise Honda's aren't for me.
