The Dunning-Kruger effect certainly applies to skating, just as it applies to the acquisition of any knowledge, but (with all due respect) I don't think it explains why some people pick up skating fast and others struggle, and I don't see that this video provides evidence otherwise. Both types of skater go through the same Dunning-Kruger curve. They may progress along the x-axis at different rates, but the y-axis confidence level still has the same overall profile. I think there is another factor at play when it comes to the rate of progression, though I don't know what it is.

Well, yes there are some other factors like I Said in the vídeo, Fear tends to be an important one. Kids learn faster since if they get hurt it's no biggie (usually). Grown up's getting hurt could mean not being able to go to work (for example). So even though the dunning Kruger applies to all skater, being confident, not being too afraid, not over risking, practicing a lot and being focused on learning new things. Can make the learning curve and going through the graph a bit faster. Than the opposite of that. (I also found that the skating community and being amongst other more talented skaters really helps if they are willing to lend a hand and some tips)🤗🤗🤗 Thank you for watching and your comment!!! Hi!😊 Yeah, before starting to upload in English I gave it a lot of thought on doing that. But, KZbin has been promising for a while now that a new feature is coming that lets us put a second audio track for dubbing the content. (Some big channels already have it) As soon as I get it all videos will be dubbed to English. That way the old videos and skating travel vlogs are in both languages!!!🤗🤗🤗 Thank you so much for commenting!
