I m from Tamilnadu. My family is lower class daily wage labourers. Still my parents encouraged me to study higher. I have completed my schooling upto 12 th through govt school. And went for higher studies in top college in city by using educational loan and got job offer after completing my college. I myself a first graduate from my family. Now my family is in good status. As a woman, I proudly says that without my family support I am not able to reach this place. This is the power of education and social justice here in tamilnadu which is already set by my rulers.

I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

Mid day meals which was introduced by Kamarajar, the then CM, who did not do his schooling, still understood the value of education. Interestingly, when he asked a child labour why he did not go to school, he asked him back who will feed him if he doesn't work. That is how this policy was implementated. He was such a dear leader to all. I also wish the northern states develop as quickly as south india. All they need to do is focus on education. Everything else will fall into place automatically. Hope the change happens soon 😊

A simple comparison. Last year's budget 13,000+ crores allocated for Northern Railways but only 59 crore allocated for Southern railways. When asked about this , the minister replies that "budget is allocated on behalf of population " . My question is , In a country which promotes population control , shouldnt it be spending on southern states which has good population control? Isnt it like punishing the south for achieving population control? And also note the difference. Even if its based on population, there is huge difference between 13000 crores and just 59 crores

I was born in UP, studied in Maharashtra, now I am working in Bengaluru. In my little experience I have seen all the regions of India up close, one thing which I have noticed is that, in North India is people are very sentimental towards their religion and are very easy to manipulate, mostly due to lack of right education and scientific approach, politicians use this as in their advantage and instead of doing actual development work, they are busy in fulfilling their pockets only. As they know at the time of election, they can play thier sentiment card and the public will accept it. This same thing we can't say about South India, before supporting and political party they analyze thier performance on the basis of actual development, I am not saying they one hundred percent good at what they should do, but far better than North Indians, mainly due to good education level of theirs.

I still remember my friends from Raibereily who came down to Navodaya in Kerala in early 90s as part of migration scheme. Initially we were intimidated by their physic, beard, propensity to get in to fight and regular c* words. But later we became very much friends. Still there is a stereotypic statement in Indian public that Northerners are fair, tall and well built and Southerners are mostly dark, short and not well built. That's a generalization. Not all North Indians are taller and fair with sharp features. If you compare with state wise in north Punjabis, Delhiites, Kashmiris and Haryanvis are the tallest. In South, Malayalis, Tuluvas, Kodavas and Telugus are tallest. In West and East people are generally short or medium. If you go through community wise, Pashtuns, Jatts, Uttar Pradesh Brahmins, Yadavas, Rajputs, South Indian Brahmins, Nairs, CKPs, Bunts, Nasranis, Wodeyars, Kodavas will be the tallest and well built. People who eat more barley, wheat, milk, curd, paneer and meat will have more height and great body in general compared to rice and meat eaters. Same goes to wheat eating, lactose tolerant and meat eating Northern and Central Chinese (Mandarin speakers) compared with rice eating, lactose intolerant, meat eating Southern Chinese. (Cantonese speakers) Ancestral North Indian is a combination of Sintastha people (From Russia - Kazakhstan Border) mixed with IVC people. (Zagrosian Iranian Hunters mixed with AASI ie, Basal East Eurasians from East Africa.) Ancestral South Indian is a mix of IVC plus AASI and Sintastha people.(Sintasthans have BMAC DNA too. BMAC DNA is a mix of Anatolian Farmers, Iranian Neolithic Farmers & Caucasus Hunters) North Indians have 18% - 38% Sintastha Steppe DNA, 35% - 55% IVC, 5% - 22% BMAC, 2% - 10% Sino-Tibetan & 25% AASI. Small correction. Pallikkoodam is the term given for schools in Tamil also. But word palli doesn't signify church in particular. It is one of several meanings for the same word..Because the root word Palli is in use since the sangam age and has plenty of meanings such as school, place of worship, battle practice ground, place of sleep etc.

Palli is a old tamil word for school and people staying in groups and is found in ancient sangam literature , koodam is primarily for people coming together , it is a pure tamil word for learning and coming together , even our muslim brothers call palli for mosques(pallivasal) , Palli is found in tamil even before christianity and islam came to India

Im from kerala. Lived in Tamil Nadu. For us all states except 5 south indian states are cosidered as north india. I observed southies have more hospitality, tolerance, acceptance,politeness, communal harmony etc No discrimination in the name of religion or cast. However we all are Indians and we respect and love our north Indian brothers and sisters. Lets us make our nation proud together. Keyword: Education is the backbone of all kinds of development. In our place I see people are curious always and they read a lot, observe a lot, analyse a lot. learn from others a lot and try to improve themselves.
