I enjoy the book of Enoch and discussions about things that may be or may not be happening. However, when it gets so focused on that that we aren't worshiping and believing Jesus has good plans for us, I back off from it. I take it in doses and then leave it for a bit. I kinda ponder it in my heart and ask Holy Spirit about it, but I don't go so crazy that I start thinking every famous person is a reptile or nephilim are everywhere. Yes, I think they are around as disembodied spirits looking to distact and draw us away from Jesus, but I kinda take CS Lewis' stance on it. He said there are two errors humans can make regarding the demons. One is to deny their existence at all and the other is to have an unhealthy fixation on them. Now, I'm practical too. If a group of eager non-bellievers or seekers are yakking about that topic, I;m going to intrigue them with the intention of later on getting truth about Jesus and the realitiy of Heaven and angels and realms and things in there. There are a lot of people curious right now, and when that pops up, I'll run with it, but then I get praying and asking for Holy Spirit to come steer our conversation in healthy ways. I know that demons like attention, so I try not to give them a thrill. :-) Having said that, I find it hilarious that some people who say they are atheists are turning to Christ because they saw a demonic thing, and reasoned that if the bad guys are real, the good guys also must be real. That cracks me up no end. Good evangelism job there. You did our job for us.

Your comment needs more likes! My mom got saved because she saw a demon coming for her to kill her one night and my dad (before they married) had JUST told her while they were high by the way 😆 that in the name of Jesus, demons have to flee. So when this demon appeared to her one night and began reaching its nasty, yellow, clawed hand toward her, she shouted “Jesus!” and it left. She gave her life to Him right after and got filled with the Holy Spirit soon after as well.

My personal opinion on my limited knowledge is that the earlier books and passages are the more reliable;, however, I don't believe that they should be in The Bible. That being said there is more than one reference to the book of Enoch in the Bible. As far as Enoch possibly being one of the two witnesses in Revelation is a possibility if we are talking about the Enoch that walked with God and then was not because God took him! At one time I thought I knew who the two witnesses were and it is possible but I have learned that the more I learn the more I understand that what I am absolutely persuaded about is far less than I previously believed. We serve a Big God and that really humbles me! I'm so thankful for His mercy and grace for us.

I feel like just like with many other important books of the Bible, God is able to lead archeologists to the right artifacts at the right time. So if the book of Enoch is in fact ancient, and a true testament of Enoch, then God will prove it true. Perhaps if so, He has held that proof until the end of times. Until then yeah we can’t rely on it for doctrine.

Jesus is the main thing and we must be careful not to lose focus while exploring information, and remember to come back to Jesus.....(from experience) The original translation is what is needed... The biggest question remains, can angels procreate? Do they have the ability? The Bibles uses sons of God for human men also, (seth line?), so the original translation is what we need to understand, plus the punishment was against man in Genesis 6,.(is it giants or tyrants?) Who knows...Just like Bibles say serpent in Garden but in Hebrew the word is Nakosh (bright, shiny one).... anyway and either way, the main point is "Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation."

I'm confused on why Enoch has conversations with fallen angels. And why does God ask Enoch to write stuff down, if it was evil. This book also claims that the angels build the arc, it rained on earth and that Enoch saw Noah, but he was taken up before Noah's birth. it also reads that the forbidden fruit meant that Eve slept with the devil. Seeing that they were allowed to eat of the other fruit, did God allow them to sleep with others? And in heaven we will be able to eat fruit too, can we also sleep around? There is also no reference to the 1000 years peace. It goes from Armageddon directly to eternity in heaven. It also claims that there's an in-between valley, but the bible is clear there's only heaven and earth. Other weird things: a woman will have a 1 000 children each in heaven, giants fall because of war and not the flood, there is no New Jerusalem in the new earth, Wisdom a.k.a the Holy Spirit takes her place between angels and not the throne, angels has the authority of Godlike powers, and the list goes on ....

I love Wes Huff & I like his down to earth explanations but there is something about Enoch 1 of the things it explains & it makes sense is that Angels are not Demons they separate classes of beings Angels have a body whereas Demons are disembodied spirits meaning they once had bodies. During some deliverance ministries it’s noted the strength of those demonised. Also Falvious Josephus in Antiquates Of The Jews records the sizes of the Nephilim Giants and that their bones were on view & some of them were still even in his time…

@@TheCrossColemanTX The book of Enoch describes in detail the story mentioned in Gen 6:1-4, where the sons of God had sexual relations with the daughters of men and produced the Nephilim. It goes into quite detail, naming the angels that rebelled and left their place in the heavens to come to earth. This story ties in with scripture in Jude 6,7, and 2 Pet 2:4. Do not be afraid, the book of Enoch was read by the Apostles.

An important consideration of any thought surrounding angels and demons or end times etc is that time as a fundamental principal does not exist to either these entities or to our divine nature in the image of God. Time is a linear presentation of multiple points of conciousness for our flesh to make sense of cause and effect but as a dimension for the supernatural it does not exist. All energy in the universe exists first as potential frequency and then manifestation this includes Angels and demons. They require the same thing God used to create us to manifest in our 3d world, mind body and spirit consent, we'll technically they need two but the third is the body and that's whwn they interact with us here. We carry Gods creative nature so they need us to manifest. God is no different as well he needs our minds and hearts to create something new in us.

I love this talk and this debate around the book of Enoch..However i will say this about it . Jude speaks about it as prophesy not in the same way as Paul says "Even your own poets say" there Paul is drawing a parallel to what they already know. Judes quote is literally says "It is avout these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam prophesied, saying " he then quotes from Enoch 1:9... Jude is literally saying that that was a prophecy by thee Enoch from genesis not anything else..That is Judes stance

This is something that really should be talked about. The original story of Genesis is not fully written, with it's little hints of dinosaurs and the flood, why is the book of Enoch off limits? There is proof that humans, animals, dinosaurs, and tropical palm trees were all found together after the flood. Humans lived to be 900 years old back then, so why is the book of Enoch so controversial? It just makes me wonder. If those creatures are still here, creating havoc on our planet, we shouldn't ignore what the Bibles says, maybe they are the ones doing very evil things, like in the days of Noah. I'm not saying live in fear of them, I'm saying know our enemy.

This is why sola scriptura is causing problems for Evangelical and Protestant Christians. They are trying to defend a false doctrine that is not biblical and will destroy Protestantism in the end. This is why we need an open canon of scriptures and living prophets/apostles as was the case in the time of the New Testament apostles. The early Christians scriptures included many books not included in the current Bible.

The 1st Book of Enoch is legit. 2nd and 3rd Enoch have that book of mormon feel to them. Part of the book of Enoch absolutely IS scripture because Jude quoted it making it scripture. I personally believe 1st Enoch is scripture like the Ethiopian church does, but that’s something the Holy Spirit has to show each person. I’m not going to debate it, but there’s so much light shed in the book of 1st Enoch that it seems to me it is an essential book to understanding why the world is the way it is.

Enoch the Movie is awesome on You Tube. I learned that there was the badest angel; Simjaza that taught humans how to seduce and make war. Other angels followed him down to earth and they sinned, angered God and begged Enoch to intercede on their behalf and get them out of the dark pit reserved for these fallen angels in chains. It definitely makes me think twice on wearing liquid eye liner.

Jesus also quoted from the book of Enoch. It was when He was being questioned by the Pharisees & Saduccees about a woman who had married her deceased husband's brothers, one at a time, and each one died. The Pharisees and Saduccees wanted to know who's wife she was in heaven. His answer was that He quoted from the book of Enoch. Check it out.

@@terryashak7 I don’t think so. The reference point of marriage is Jesus and the church. Jesus is the angel and the man that represents both peoples. The issue with the pharaseehs is that that completely try to control the matters of love, which is constantly ordained by God not man, by the order of man.
