The problem with kickstarters is that they only give you two months to give them what you’re right is a car payment for a figure. That’s just not something I can do. And I definitely can’t do it more than once or twice a year so I gotta choose carfefully. Like I was finally able to get the ARC titan a few months ago. And probably in like a year I’ll get the nemesis.

We’re done with the bad business practices from hasbro. They don’t care about their customers. They care about that money when they need to start caring more about the consumer. Lots of mistakes going on. They don’t even know the characters. They get color and costumes wrong. Basically we get a set of hands now with most figures.🍻

Oh, with legends, these practices are the exact reason I barely collect them. The worst is they give them accessories that don't reflect power sets, hands and limbs that aren't even scaled to the character. Heads being thrown on bodies that are too big or too small. It's just a mess. I really only collect some transformers and classified...until they mess that up...which is inevitable.

I agree totally. After the first few days, it needed to see 130 orders each day to fund the base figure. As of tonight it needs 314 per day every day for the next 4 days to fund the base figure. It's only getting a dozen orders a day now. If orders ramp up to 20 times the number of orders per day we've seen in the last few weeks, it STILL won't fund!

Fair point. I'm just basing my guess of 11k on past haslabs. Last few days they tend to do 500-1000 per day. Usually it's the fomo and fence sitters (like I am usually) that jump in last minute and push it over the top.

It needs to average 314 new orders per day every day for the next 14 days, while it's actually getting only about 12 per day. So even if the number of orders jumps 10 times the average number per day, to 120 order per day for the next say 12 days, that's still only adding 1,440 orders to the 5,623 already in for a total of 7,063. In those last two days it'd need almost 1,500 per day. And we're not going to see a 10 fold increase in orders per day because it's slowing down badly, not speeding up. I can't see that rate even doubling over the next 2 weeks, but even if it did that would only add 366 orders and it would still be 4,000 short. And I think a LOT of people are holding out hoping that Hasbro is going to add some figures, which they won't, so that's also going to diminish last minute enthusiasm. But then again, we could be wrong. Hopefully, for the people who really want this, it'll see a huge last minute surge enough to put it over the line. But man, I'm glad I'm not one of them because I'd be chewing my fingertips off!

Don't forget they usually add retailer numbers at the end like BBTS. I completely forgot to back this and then when I went back to look I realized it probably wouldn't make it let alone get to the skull head. But yea I'll keep an eye on it.

Now as of tonight it needs 458 order per day. It's only averaging 36 per day for the last 20 days. Sentinel and Galactus were at 14,000 and 13,000 orders at this stage of the game, respectively. Even if orders come in at a rate ten times higher per day than that average, it will fall short.

as a who the heck at Hasbro thought it would be a great idea to run a Haslab where have to wait for at least a year but have to pay in advance when they are dumping 75% of the entire years of figs within 3 to 4 months. Not like most recent haslabs even increase that high in price after a month of release. AMEN! I keep saying I want a 12" Giant Man, not a 22" one. He's traditionally been shown around 12' tall in the comics for the most part. Rarely ever much larger. They should have saved a Haslab for maybe Eternity with a classic Ancient One figure, a vintage Dr. Strange in his original costume, and maybe a classic original green costumed Dormammu or classic Ancient One. Or a 24" or even 32" Watcher with Gabriel the Airwalker and Galactus's original Punisher alien-robot servant.

This should never have been a haslab. Get the price down to $150 and sell it at the online retailers. How does Hasbro jam their pockets with cash that way? This mold could be reused for Movie Giant Man, Goliath, Goliath (Bill Foster), Atlas, or any other giant Marvel character. Also, this year we've had a Cat's Lair, Eternia, a Neca Sewer Lair, a Dragonfly, the Ghost, and other big ticket items in the toy sphere. There's only so many of those things people have the cash and space for. If you want to jump in those waters with another item then it needs to be a highly desired grail, a fantastic package of items, or a great priced deal. This Haslab ain't that. I still think it will fund, but just barely without the added tiers.

A fabric lab table that can fit multiple 6 inch figure. Giant Man looks good but I also think its too big with a lot of finger articulation that is not needed. Get rid of that articulation, get Giant Man down to 12 inches, the goodies I mentioned, and the price down to $125

That's a valid point. Haslabs have been built off the extras and most of the extras have been figures. They've trained their audience to expect figs with this, but the sudden course correction is going to make this suffer for the adjustment.

The proportions ruin it for me. The head is too large for the body and the shoulders are too small (typical marvel legends proportions) It wouldnt cost them extra to make better decisions with the anatomy and deliver a more aesthetically pleasing product. Especially when its basically a blank body. I do think the price is a step in the right direction though.

Lets not forget that unlike the Sentinel and Galactus, Giant Man is very much an early Silver Age character. So much so that virtually every Marvel Legends Collector, excepting a handful of the most elderly, were born after Giant Mans last real mainline Avengers appearance. The giant figure looks cool and all. But its not that perfect Sentinel or Galactus that collectors have been craving for decades. he's at best a "neat to have". The accessories and add ins are worse than unexciting. Maybe if they had thrown in a Mark I trash can shaped Ultron and an original SIlver Age pointy hat Wasp? Something to spice it up? But lets be honest, the only connection most modern fans and collectors have to this character, this version of the character and this figure are 2 panels of Alex Ross art from the Marvels miniseries. That's it.

And my first introductions to Hank Pym were as Yellowjacket in Avengers that I bought off spinner racks, and as Ant-Man (and pre Ant Man) in my Uncles tattered Tales to Astonish books at Grandma’s. I may have encountered Giant Man in one or two Marvel Triiple Action books that were reprinting Avengers. But the ones I remember having were all Hawkeye Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch era. There really isn’t a lot of Giant Man stories out there. Heck I more vividly remember Hawkeyes brief Goliath stint and especially Bill Foster Goliath/Black Goliath in the great Project Pegasus saga from Marvel Two in One.

I think it’ll spike a little right before it ends, but idk if it’ll get fully funded. It looks cool, but I think it’s a boring Haslab. The cost is much better than previous ones, but I really want cool figures as tiers, not faces and eyes that roll. All I hear when people mention giant man is the articulation in the fingers. When that’s all that you have to talk about or mention when it comes to pros, you know it’s not great. I also think a payment plan would help move these (and all Haslabs) along. I’ve had some financial stuff come up this year, so I don’t have the money saved up for another big purchase again. If they’d do a payment plan of say $50 a month for 4-5 months, I would fund this on day one.

Just shows you how many buy multiples. A good amount won’t but more than 2 because of the less profitable it is to purchase more than 1. Flippers can’t split it up and sell the figures or just people who don’t want the extra figures. Plus, same people buy all of these Haslabs. The pool of buyers is also getting smaller by the year. Marvel has been getting killed in the theaters and comics. Less interest in the property is my theory. I did get 1 myself. I will say if this project looks like it barely makes 10k watch out because it will be worth some money with that low production run. You could have a huge surge on the last day.

I had to back out of a haslab because I had to fix my car, but life happens. Then add in the last two haslabs have funded, which might shrink the pool even more, it's just not a sustainable model when all the factors are added up.

I think a happy medium could've been done here, one fig and the giant man for $200 would've worked. even if it was a 6 inch Hank pym with the same look, I agree that 2-3 figs for $200 wouldn't work with the margins they are trying to reach, but it's a boring offering, granted I like it, but have to acknowledge it's basic.

Yeah, at one point I just backed it and walked away. Never saw that influx of backers showing out like that for something that wasn't backed in the first couple of weeks!
