Resident Evil 1 brings the sense of mystery and the unknown to the player, the dread of entering each new room without knowing what is waiting for him with his scarce resources, just like for the characters, for us players it would be the first experience against these zombies and frightening beings altered by the (at this point) mysterious T-Virus. The 2002 remake improved on this experience while remaining faithful to what was offered by the original game. In Resident Evil 2, we see the nightmare of the infection spreading on a larger scale, instead of a mansion, we see an entire city falling into despair and horror because of the zombies, and when we think we can handle it, the surprise of new anomalies and an even more potent virus bring us back to the uncertainty of what lies ahead. I have mixed feelings about the 2019 Remake, although it improved and innovated some of the game's locations and character involvement, some scenarios changed or partly removed and some changes to the story strayed from the original experience, but others, like Annette's involvement and the city orphanage, pleased me. Resident Evil 3 brings us the sense of urgency and rush to get rid of and get out alive from the zombie infestation under Jill's eyes, as she goes through everything that happened to her in the first game again, we also have the tension of an enemy never seen before that is behind us and our comrades who will not rest until he sees us dead, and this contributes to the sense of urgency that "motivates" us to move forward even though we fear what might happen next, because we no longer have a choice. To this day, the PS1 version remains the original, unique and authentic Resident Evil 3 Nemesis experience.

@@AngelofDarknessXL excellent analysis! I perfectly understand where you're coming from and some of the faults you see in the second remake in particular!
