Finally part of the passed and still watching gang, with just two minors despite the wreck of nerves i was 10 mins before my test this morning😆. For anyone worried, I won’t attempt to ease down or “invalidate” your nerves because, Two days before I couldn’t park as I couldn’t stop thinking about it. However, the test goes so so quick I thought my examiner had finished earlier because I’d failed. As soon as I started driving I thought I can’t go back so be it whatever is meant to happen and although I am still not a perfect driver yet, I was safe and that’s the most important thing. Focus on being safe and observant, not about being smooth and pro like. You’ll be fine, whether this time or the next.

i passed my test a few weeks ago with no minors, at one point in the test, i had to go the wrong way. there were 2 lanes, one on the left was going left (which i was in) then the examiner said to turn right at the traffic lights, so i put my signal on to move over, but an uber driver showed up right next to me, so i quickly made that decision to go left where my lane was headed anyway, because by that point it was way too late :) examiner said i did perfect in that situation

I had a similar experience when I was about to do my driving test. I'm not from the UK but I also had a tricky roundabout with 5 exits that you needed to take in order to get in and out of the test center. I drove around there several times, learning the different exits, learning how to move in the roundabout, until I was completely comfortable. I even learned all the names of the exits, in which order they came in and such. keep practicing until you're completely comfortable with it. that's my tip. :)

The new parallel parking alert system is a great idea as my granddaughter when intending to parallel park activates a purple flashing beacon on the roof of the car accompanied by a recorded repeating verbal announcement , ( security, security, security, this vehicle intends to change position, please keep clear ) the combined flashing spinning purple lamp along with the repeating verbal announcement broadcasted through a loud speaker system helps other road users understand that her vehicle is performing a restricted movement stop and park exercise.

If they didn't have as much traffic it wouldn't be too bad but these ones are never not busy so it's a nightmare. Other than that I have 0 nerves for the test. Yes I am doing it more than I should but I'm really not confident. Had under 10 hours lessons in total. Is it normal for instructors to do this ? 😊
@AGNETHAFALTSK0G2 ай бұрын
Not to snap and stalling happens, just ensure you keep the vehicle secure after stalling so it doesn't move, maybe a different teacher if you feel that they are wrong for you, you should feel relaxed with yours instructor.

Hi Aman I love your videos! For any roundabout, would you always suggest following the line to your left to understand which lane you should be in?
@WayneTulip-zm9gw2 ай бұрын
It depends on the roundabout, they’re all different, there’s a spiral roundabout in Leicester (next to Fosse Park) where you start in the middle lane and then the lane branches out and opens up into 3 possible lane choices, if you just followed the line on your left it would take you to the 3rd exit. ☺️

Aman said some experienced drivers struggle with them roundabouts, with the road signs and the road markings honestly they couldn’t be any easier, I’m not being funny but if an experienced driver can’t follow simple basic road signs and road markings and if they don’t understand how spiral roundabouts work they shouldn’t be driving or they should take some refresher lessons.
@wrightwoodwork2 ай бұрын
It's not about understanding how they work as experienced driver. If you don't know the area and what lane to be in for the junction you require it's possible to get confused. The things is with experience you know how to fix it . Yes you have sat navs but if you get Instructions late and need to be I'm the right lane and are I'm the left you might not be able to get the correct lane. Where if you know the area you know when to change and move over. There is a bit more to a roundabout than the roundabout. You have your approach to get Into the correct lane and you dont know the area it's possible to get it wrong then you are struggling on the roundabout depending on traffic and what people let you do
@WayneTulip-zm9gw2 ай бұрын
Lol you’re everywhere mate! But yes, if you don’t know the area you’d obviously drive slower and you’d be more cautious and more careful, all roundabouts are different but generally with a spiral roundabout lane 1 takes the first and the second exit, if you need the third exit onwards you’ll need to approach the roundabout in lane 2 and you keep on heading to the right until you find the lane that you need to be in for your exit and you stay in that lane and that lane will take you to your intended exit, also, another tip for you all, if you don’t know the area have a look at your route on google maps, it’s extremely useful and it’s extremely helpful, knowing which lanes you need to be in before you even get into your car is great, it minimises anxiety and it makes you feel confident as you know what to expect, that’s what I did, I’ve been driving for so many years but only in my small town, which I found too easy, I wanted more of a challenge, so I booked 5 hours of driving lessons with a driving instructor and I was shown how to use dual carriageways and spiral roundabouts, I taught myself how to drive on a motorway, once you know how to drive on a dual carriageway you can drive on a motorway, they’re both extremely similar, but obviously motorways have specials rules which you must know and learn before you drive on them, motorways also usually have spiral roundabouts so you must know and learn how to use them, I drove to Fosse Park in Leicester by myself for the first time, it was so easy as I studied the route on google maps so many times, I knew exactly what lanes I needed to be in. 🙃
