Im 37, married 18 years, 2 teenage children. Loving life, have a 10 mile commute. Always wanted a bike and it finally makes sense financially and otherwise... the Speed Twin 900 is about to be my first bike. Ill commute much of the time, and the rest of the time cruise down to Galveston or over to Austin with my wife. This bike ticks all my boxes.

I can totally agree with you its a combination of riders buying this bike who want to do everything on their bike, it does look quality indeed, your videos are really making me miss mine. Its the little details & the build quality for me too. Its also the affordability of the aftermarket parts, their pricing is pretty fair. I will admit in the winter I would stare at it on the drive with a cup of tea for a while on a weekly basis :)

The reason it is soooo good is because it was blended with a big chunk of my soul as I covered more development miles on that model than any other test rider 🥰 good times indeed 😎👌🙏🏍🇬🇧🏍

@@HelmetHead a lot of good memories I did 40,000 + two up with my eldest son but I’m torn between that and the street cup out of the 900 range I did 1158 miles in one day on the street cup so I think that just takes top spot out of the two for me 😎🙏🏍🇬🇧👌

@@HelmetHead every bike in triumphs line up has part of my soul blended into it 😎🙏🥰the new 1200 tiger is the last one ☝️ as for the speedmaster it’s the only triumph I hate lol but you should definitely get your hands on one ☝️ would be interesting to see your opinion, many love it 😍 many don’t 🤮

Good job hyping up my bike. In my case, in my mid 40s, it was my first motorcycle. It was affordable and pretty. It was a deal I couldn't pass up. I made it prettier with some mods (tail tidy, bar end mirrors, minimal LED turn signals). Plus points that it turned out to be a quick and fun bike, with good fuel mileage too (58 mpg, us gallons). Great for the commute. Until I can afford to upgrade to a Thruxton (my dream bike, which is 3x the cost to insure), this will be my one and only bike.

How come you don't have one? 😄Is it because of money? Yes, I understand, buying new it's out of the question for me. I have loved this bike since its introduction in 2016 and just this year I managed to buy one with only a 700km 2016 model. yes, it's only 55hp But I don't care because it still has those 80Nm of torque and it's all the power that I ever need.

Unfortunately I've not had the pleasure of the Royal Enfield Interceptor. Hopefully in the future I'll get to ride one, and hopefully both bikes back to back, the ultimate test!?

@@HelmetHead I have an Interceptor but prefer the more fluid look of the Triumph.. being virtually twice the price, it has better fit and finish making it subjectively more aesthetically pleasing. The Interceptor on the other hand has an unpretentious big personality.. a no frills happy go lucky cousin from the 1960s that knows how to have a good time on a lot less! 😊

I’ve had both. The ST straight out of the dealer handles like a dream, the Interceptor is brilliant for the price, but it needs a suspension upgrade to give the same handling. I’ve now got the ST and RE Classic 350, but I think there’ll be an ST in my garage while I can still ride.
