Charles, you build some pretty good saws so NEVER worry about what others say, because if YOU are happy with your build then don’t worry about it! Remember this one key thing; a cook (you) is his own worst critic! You do just fine!

I truly don't understand why anyone is critical of another builders techniques. I personally find it interesting to learn different ways to do things. In the end, the result is all that matters. Ignore the drama and continue to do your own thing. I really enjoy your content and have learned a lot from it.

Ain’t no reason for everybody to be arguing. We all have our strong suits. I have never actually told anybody what to do, and I am not above asking for advice when I get to something I don’t know about.

Lol if you seen my ground guys chain, you’d wonder how they get anything done. A good ground guy that’s also good at running ropes is worth more than most climbers. Ima pray for the drama generators. Let God relieve them of their insecurities.

The drama is why I quit following a lot of groups. I'll speak to your ability to build a damn nice 4910, every time I fire it up it puts a smile on my face. I've had a couple of guys run it and they can't believe it is only 50cc with how it runs. Keep up the good work and the videos.

Keep your Head up I hate hearing that you have to deal with people that just want to be miserable, I for one really appreciate your content and have learned a lot from you and hopefully one day I'll get to meet you at a chainsaw event like sawfest or Paul Bunyan show or something like that.

I learn from your great successes, your modest ones, and the occasional failures- thank you. Don't ruin your fun hobby by turning it into a job, even though there are a lot of us that would love a 5+hp 4910, a 7hp 620 or an 8 hp 7310. Thank you for showing us how you do it. Now for someone to figure out how to get big gains out of strato saws without losing the emissions or fuel efficiency advantages of the design.

I don't video my work because it's a hassle and it's not my thing, but I do enjoy porting saws like you for fun. Over the years I've developed some pretty good recopies that produce solid saws. Interestingly I find the saws that aren't necessarily the fastest saws I find too be my go too saws. Torque is more important to me than RPM. As for building compression my method is to cut the squish and combustion chamber the deck it. But to my mind the best method must be too raise compression without cutting the base assuming the Exhaust port is about where you want it. I too like 80 degrees intake. I have some old cylinders and think I too will have a go at building up the chamber with weld then CNC it back into shape.

Charlie, don't even give those guys the time of day. You build the saw that YOU LIKE!! I'd pay good money for one of those 60 cc Echo saws. I follow saw builders that are humble and enjoy sharing their knowledge. One professional saw porter whom has a world renowned name builds strong work saws with cleaned up ports and consistent numbers. Exhaust modifications to get the heat out and a few Nick nacks and that's it.. You are an experimental person, it's your money that buys the cylinder so do what you want my friend. I'm a contractor by day and believe me there are multiple ways to Finnish a home or building. The end result is the same, happy customer who gets what they ask for. I grew up on a piece of land with huge softwood trees in British Columbia. We burn firewood for heat and a couple solid, reliable chainsaw is essential. Most of us went down this porting rabbit hole to learn how to fix our own equipment.. Anyway, sorry about the long wind but I just wanted to let you know I appreciate all the content you put out.. Loyal to you and a handful of others.. Keep on building because you are very good at it period.. 👍✌️

I've been out of saw porting for about 5 years now. This is something that has plagued saw building from way before I started probably 15 years ago. I don't know why, but it seems to go with the territory.

No doubt about that, always drama for some reason, I say it boils down to $$$, most times that is it, money or trying to justify their existence, idk what style I am, I just do whatever comes to mind lol I’m the moment. Heck i change pirtbshaoes on the fly lol. I do it for fun and thrills, and just let em waste their breath. Brisco, you have a great mind and are always changing, evolving, and adapting and that is what I pride in you and the other guys I watch. It’s just fun.

don't let the haters get you down there's more than one way to skin a cat I get a kick out of watching your channel I like the way you think you're always kind of thinking outside the box and willing to experiment! what everybody forgets and we're just having fun for a lot of us this isn't our day job! let's keep the fun in it and blow some s*** up. and what everybody doesn't realize you have some proof on paper the dino doesn't lie!!!!!!! but they'll still find ways to hate!

Whatever you do, I know it’s hard, ignore the assholes! I sure would hate to see you discouraged and not sharing all you do. I’ve narrowed my subscriptions because of a few with attitude. Vent anytime you feel the need, I think sometimes that helps. Wisdom for knowing not to ruin your enjoyment by turning into a business, took me one time to learn that lesson! Don’t change a thing to suit someone else keep doing as you do because personally that was the reason I started watching you, you’re not locked into one way of building saws.

As for the rant. Is it a lack of articulation in communicating their point that causes offence? I've never seen in the comments guys tearing your work apart so I guess you delete it. Just leave it up so we can all see. One of the things I'd like to able to do is sit down with a few guys who port and have a bloody good discussion about what we have observed with changes made and exchange ideas. When I was shooting F Class we would regularly go down the rabbit hole and it was always a great way to kill several hours. In the end I concluded by way of results that most of the BS guys do reloading was exactly that BS! I once grabbed my tail end ammo box by mistake and won a match with it. That destroyed many myths for me right there. They were different powder charges and seating depths and it was an 800y championship match. I'm pretty sure we over think most things. I have never seen a good discussion on the net. Not in forums or YT comments. I gave up on OPE years ago. I don't rate myself on chainsaws so I keep out of it but I did try to help guys on shooting forums years ago. It was exactly the same there. I personally knew all the top guys but the forums are often ruled by a click of a dozen guys who tear up anyone who disagrees with there opinion. It was impossible. New guys would come in and ask intelligent questions and some of the the utter bullshit they were fed angered me. I outted myself one day and let rip and never went back. I got couple phone calls from top shooters laughing there arss off later that day, They knew me well and knew it was just a matter of time. In that environment guys can be there own worst enemy. You can't help them. If that's what you have been encountering Charles I get where you are coming from. Your dyno results speak for themselves.

Dude your saws speak for themselves. There is no pissing match... just people that somehow look at the results and say "hey, thats not how I do it so it must not he right" Ignore it dude. Those toxic people aren't worth your time. Teach people how you do what you do, and show em the (fantastic) results you get. That's not arguing... Thats just old school science. Do a thing, observe what happens. The people out there causing drama need to fuck right off. If someone (as in the drama people) can't share what they do WITHOUT cutting you down when they say it.. I can assure you their ideas aren't worth trying. They are making decision based on emotions or feelings instead of results.
