Now, for instance give free loans to young people who do not go to university so that they realise that their work is as important, or small and middle companies getting capital injection this year so that they can flourish....

Free loans since when? Oh getting the employee loan, which you can utilize only if you are under 25 and if you accept the fact you must stay in the country and work there for 5 years? Getting something(anything) for a loan is not free! Loan can increase by the time if you cannot afford it to pay then you will have even a bigger loss then you had! It's definitely not free, it's a dept which can follow along through your life if you are enough cautious with it.

exactly. The natives do never pause. It is in their blood. And it is easy to implement. There isn't even a "rule of vowel harmony". It really is a simplification method. A kind of energy, lip muscle movement and mental nerves conserving method of speaking. Instead of for example saying: "With bread" == "Kenyérvel" or "via bus" == "Buszval" it simplifies to " kenyérrel" and "busszal". This way the flow of speaking is continuous.

My nagyapa és nagyanya were born & raised in Magyarszág and came to America around 1909 and was married to his Magyar bride in 1914. My apa was one of 6 children, of that union, and I am the middle child of his five offspring. Our First trip to Magyarország was in 1991 with my wife, my brother, his wife and their three children. We met cousins in Budakeszi, Sátoraljaújhely, Miskolc and Kecskemét while visiting on that 3 week trip. So many MEMORIES are FLOODING back from that trip and also in 2002 for a cousin's Wedding and finally our last trip in June of 2016. We have so~~so many család memories from those trips! Jó Magyar!

Half my family is also in Transylvania (now belongs to Romania since the World Wars and they have been persecuted). I'd only like to add that Hungarian (Magyar) is not the only Uralic language of Europe. The native Sami speak an Uralic language. Also the Finns and Estonians. It is said that the reason why the Hungarian tribes were able to preserve the language was because people already living here spoke it as well. The 7 Hungarian tribes have arrived to the kind of people they were familiar with. This is what current day genetics seems to point to, because the 7 tribes did not leave (if any) genetic mark in the population already present here (common people were genetically different from the leaders of the tribes).

Slovakia never existed in history before Trianon. 100% of Slovakia was part of Hungary. Ukraine also took land, so did Romania, Austria, Croatia was part of the Kingdom of Hungary, but they had their own language, rulers, culture etc. Either way before WW I every territory that currently borders Hungary was part of Hungary. As a Hungarian, To say the original “Magyars” name and word is close to saying “mud-jars” and as one word. I often hear “mag-jars” which is very strange and pronounced incorrectly. Thank you for understanding and showing respect.

The introduction greatly overexagerates the foreignness of Hungary by presenting it as this alien land with strange food and customs when in reality there is no surface level difference between Hungary, Czech, and Austria. We have a unique history and culture sure but its not THAT outlandish. We share so much in common with the rest of central europe that our king even ruled the HRE at one point and we run the EU today in 2024. Though the rest of the video does a much better job clarifying the introductory statements and what Hungary actually is like. It's a good summary overall and quite flattering.

Possibly Fidesz keeps winning because Orban stood firm and didn't allow the EU to dictate that a country of 9 million should take a million so-called refugees -- who would have destroyed the culture forever. He also stands firm in the face of EU pressure on national sovereignty, law and culture. Hungary is suffering badly from inflation right now, like all countries, including the US and Canada. It has survived much worse. Don't lose heart. Support local small businesses and rediscover traditional ways of coping with hard times. I've been around the world and I would very happily settle in Hungary if I could.
