Why is This Glue Booking Soooo Hard to Do?

I think the key word in the title of Nicole's channel is "relax". There are no rules but you seem to be trying to impose them on yourself. I have just started my very first glue book and it's a colour themed one. I am finding the fussy cutting the worst and I have a logical mind so I'm hoping I'll be able to cope with the randomness when it come to building the page. Just do what makes you happy.

Its fun though isnt it ! Something I do alot is to use neutral colours to start, like old book pages and music pages , even brown paper bags or packaging, and ilike to tear the paper instead of cutting as it seems to give a better flow to the finished work

This video was recommended by KZbin, so a new subbie here, Hi I am Ann from the UK...you have hit the nail on the head here! For me it's the same I struggle real hard in glueing stuff down. You could have just placed the person on top of the pattern paper without cutting it. I have trouble with the fussy cuts more than the background. Love your gluebook so far, also pages don't always get done in one sitting. Hope to see more of your glue booking journey ❤

You sound like you just need to start with a background first! I use acrylics, watercolors, markers, or cover a page in just background collage first!!!!! ❤❤❤
