Hello from the South of France (Paris is my hometown; I lived there for almost 40 years), 🌴🌞 Your video was exciting thanks to your passion for History, which pleasantly enhanced your pretty shots and the emblematic Parisian monuments chosen. Some of these are much less visited by tourists, wrongly, incontestably. Your dog is incredibly calm and gentle, almost shy even. He is wonderful. Your children will have beautiful memories of this journey. They're very well-educated. It's quite noticeable. I think they'll also remember the fatigue felt after such an urban journey. Nevertheless, the unique beauty of our capital makes all weariness fly away as new details are revealed throughout the journey. Thank you for this enjoyable walk. ☮👈😎

My French wife once told me that she did not know what Bastille Day was. On the same day they celebrate Independence Day

@@gjqhryndgkyokploirby yes it sounds as though it's all about independence!

I'm Parisian and I didn't even know there was "the ruins" of the Bastille. At this point they should just clean it, nobody knows what it is even locals, behind bushes, with no sign, there is no point to keep 3 stones.
@EscapeintheMotorhome3 ай бұрын
@@FanNy-ku6wt that's what we thought. We know it symbolises a terrible point in history but people might still want to know about it.

Bastille Day is not a thing in France. The Bastille was a symbol of royal oppression and was torn down as a result. What is called Bastille Day in English speaking countries is referred to as fête de l'indépendance (Independence Festival) or most commonly the 14 Juillet (the 14th of July).

@@Sayitlikitiz101 thank you, that makes a lot of sense and we guessed as much.
