Because most companys wouldnt dare allow you to take your time and produce quality work. They would rather you weld overtop pre painted steel which is a no no and it takes to long to bevel those edges and do multiple passes on that little section. Time is money and all peope give a fuck about is money. That is why its so rarely discussed
