I used to do this in my notebook but in a fantasy spirit - first i'd draw a blank map with features, then factions would appear and slowly expand, settle cities with dates of settlements and then a whole story would just come out of it automatically - it's fuckin great! kudos to the devs

I would literally color in coloring books, growing up; with the same intention this game has. Sense be damned. I had wars and different factions with different colors, alliances, motives, etc. In random ass coloring books. Didn't matter the content of it. As long as it had a decent looking "map" for my wars! This game fulfils a special kind of autism.

I like your style and house rules. it is nice to listen, and i 100% agree that the core of this game is in story telling. Personally, i would like for you to also roleplay aliances, although with the current mechanics it is a bit harder. When i do i usually look at the origin, and if 2 or more nations are close to a big nation of a different origin, i start a coalition war. Same with splits from the larger empire, i just call them the revolution and they usualy get 1 turn per 2 turns of the rest. And i know it is selfis, but please try narrating a bit more about the contries. The more random stuff you throw in there, the better the video. I once saw someone create switzerland, and go to war with germany because: "The sausages the ambasador send tasted like oily tree bark" Having ridiculous things is the essence of this game.
