I used to work at BOA. She could have cashed the check just simply based on the fact that you had the funds in your account to cover the loss in the event there was something wrong with the check. Not to mention the check was under 10k which wasn't going to flag the system and make you fill out the form to make yourm document that amount being taken in cash. I'm a dark skinned Indian. I'm not broke, either. I've even dealt with racial stuff because people think I'm black (especially when my hair is short) all the time. It's always shocking how DIFFERENTLY they will treat you before and after realizing you're not African American. I swear to God, it happens all the time. The only reason I use "dark-skinned" to describe myself is because the term "black" is almost exclusively used to refer to people of sub-Saharan African descent (which I am not). It's not as if it bothers me if somebody wanted to call me a "black Indian" or even just "black". The only real contention I have with that label is the almost guaranteed confusion it will invoke. And trust me, if I went around calling myself black, people would invariably claim I was pretending to be something I'm not and they'd call me out for it. What I personally think is that, at least in the Western world, if you're anything except Caucasian, you're going to be discriminated against and it's only an issue of the severity and obviousness of it. I don't have any delusions of thinking that changing the words I use to describe myself grants me special privileges or makes me more likeable to white people or less of an issue in their minds.

If you work at a bank you know why this happened… I’ve seen this happen to clients that have more money than him where most of the time cashiers check have to be deposited… except most of the clients that walk through the door would’ve just said deposit it and let me take that amount out in cash which I have in my account… no need to have waited that long ridiculous. if it’s a check made to a business than it must be deposited. All banks know that and it’s a regulation.

My mom then got me and all her kids & even some friends in as well. So if you have freind that banks with them just ask them to help get you in. Even if they were a referral themselves with only a friend linking them to military, they can still get you in. I know that was kinda long winded hopefully the explanation was as clear as possible.
