Is this when Prophet Kobus was younger or one of his sons? The one we just watched message “How important is Your Body”- it look like he’s older? Hope someone can tell me- I know he died in 2013 (according to google)- but love his messages & teaching. I like Kobus but sometimes he forces the verses to say what he wants them to say. I listen for 15 minutes and stopped the video because he is quoting verses out of context. He said give me one verse that says saints singing in heaven. Here is the one verse Rev 15 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹ Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. ² And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. ³ They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! ⁴ Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested." Jesus said I'm not a ghost if we try to understand it in context, Jesus said I'm not a dead man's ghost in the same way He said it when they thought He was a ghost on the water. It has nothing to do with a spirit, as He said whoever is born from a spirit is a spirit or God is a spirit. If you are born from God you are a spirit waiting for an incorruptible body. (Read 2 Cor 5) 2Cor 5 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹ For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, 👉eternal in the heavens.👈 ² For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation 👉which is from heaven, 👈..... Rom 8 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ²³ Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. ²⁴ For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? Jesus is a spirit in a spiritual body as angels are spirits with spiritual bodies. Kobus says angles are spirits but we all know they have a body so for a spirit to have a spiritual body is normal but he just lets that detail pass you by. Here is what the Bible says about that. Jesus is a spirit......read carefully 1Cor 15 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ⁴⁰ There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. … ⁴⁴ It is sown a👉 natural body, it is raised a 👉spiritual body👈. There is a natural body, and there is a👉 spiritual body. ⁴⁵ And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." 👉👉👉The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.👈👈👈 ⁴⁶ However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. … ⁵³ For this👉 corruptible must put on incorruption,👈 and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So 👉when👈 this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." ❤❤❤ It is very clear if you want to read and understand the truth. That is why the church is struggling today, not differentiating their body from their spirit. I know Kobus himself knows and understood these verses but why he always pushed the immortality agenda more than anything else puzzles me. But if you have a corruptible body make sure first you get an incorruptible body before you want God to dwell in your body. God dwell in Jesus's spirit before. When Paul said your body is the temple of God the context is about sin to a very immature church of Corinthians who has no clue and Paul himself was not at the height of his revelations. God dwells in your newborn spirit, not in your corrupted flesh. Flesh and blood will never inherit the kingdom of God meaning God never be partners with them. The blood gives life to the earthly body but the spirit give life to the celestial body. Read Romans 7 about how the body and the flesh can not be one with God. Rom 7 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ²⁴ O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? ²⁵ I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the👉 mind I myself serve the law of God, but with 👉flesh the law of sin. ❤❤❤ The mind, the inner man, and the spirit are for God, not the flesh or the body. Now let's see what Paul says about our body in the context of God dwelling in us. Rom 8 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ⁸ So then, those who are in the 👉 flesh cannot please God. ⁹ But you are not in the flesh but in the 👉Spirit, 👈if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. ¹⁰ And if Christ is in you, 👉the body is dead 👈because of sin, 👉 but the Spirit 👈is life because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead 👉will👈also give life to your 👉mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. ❤️❤️❤️ This is s a principle Paul sets about God dwelling in a man at the height of his revelation before his last journey to Rome but this verse is misunderstood by many. Paul says if God is in you, your body has to die or must be dead. He said it twice if Chris is in you, your body has to be dead and your spirit has to be alive. Because in chapter 6 he told us to consider our body dead with Christ. Rom 6 (NKJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹⁰ For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. ¹¹ 👉Likewise you also, reckon 👈 yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ❤❤❤ This is not against Kobus by no means, I learned a lot from him through the years but sometimes correction is necessary to grow. Thank you for your explanation! I love Kobus, but I recognize a few things needed adjustment. We all see in part, but he sure saw a lot! And so many thousands we're healed through him! We all need the body of Christ working together speaking the truth in love!
