This DLC is 100% required if you want to do high chain synths in a reasonable time frame, I can't imagine doing Nok/Zoma without. I agree that it should have been a post-game reward. I used a ton of different jp sites during the first 3 days after release trying to keep up with jp players. It was interesting to see polls at the end of EVERY SITE that asked if the player would buy ANY of the DLCS. Most of the votes were 80%+ in favor of buying without a single thought. The jp community seems to be just down asf to buy it so i'm afraid this is going to be a recurring thing in future releases. Shen Megami Tensei 4 / 4 Apoc on the 3DS had a similar paid for DLC (like 3 different DLCs similar to mole hole) just for grinding (Then you had like 3+ more paid DLCs are small content patches, one being a bit bigger than the former two) and they were at least 5-10$ a pop, crazy lol.

I played the Smartphone remake for Monsters 1. This feature was unlocked at endgame where you needed to pay 60,000 to go through a random selection of your monsters from the lowest to highest rank. This should of been free in other words.

I dont mind the price its amazing game changing worth it but pricey pay to win for competitive game breaking also want to support so hopefully they remake the previous titles was never able to play them and they are expensive now im worried they might make an upgrade to it for more money where you can get all monsters even if you never did synthesis hope i dont jinx it.

They might make a dlc for the paddock where they level up by themselves and lay eggs I would pay for that. They might make micro transactions for rainbow eggs and x and s tier monsters.

Yeah it'd worth it for sure but the issue is the game creates the problems then sells us the solution. It's fair game but still scummy imo.

The employees get paid from game sales, lol. This DLC is specifically meant to gouge players. Any extra profit goes directly to shareholders and CEOs

Also this is a basic quality of life that was free in the previous games so I think it's a mixture of making customers pay for a business mistake the company made and greed.

its not hard to scout a/s/x per se. i have seen a streamer doing it pretty confidently with 2 beastie bites, boosting, attacking with 1 only and then killing them, they joined like 80-90% of the time

This is a massive reason for why I DO NOT own this game. Here is a list of why I have not picked up the game despite it being a game I looked forward to for. #1 Switch performance + Graphics Why does the game look so much worse than DQ 11 and maybe even worse than DQ Treasures and Heroes II? Then to rub salt in the wounds, it also runs poorly? Yikes. #2 They removed post game content and sold it as DLC then just to make it feel even more disgusting, the "deluxe" edition is literally the exact same price as buying the game and all DLC? Like? What the fuck? Game : $59.99, DLC $10, $10, $6 = $85.99 Deluxe is $85.99 Wow! What a deal! I will buy the game when it is on sale for $60 for all of it. Not because I am too poor ( LOL ) but because I do not reward greed. Also because I have 900+ games to play that I have not touched. PS4, PS5, XBox, Switch, PS+ Extra, Game Pass and this leaves out Steam library and older gen games in my backlog. Meanwhile I am 90% done with Dragon Quest Treasures and the game surprised me. It is better than I had hoped, and yet... they could have made the game fantastic, but went Low Effort in almost every way they could. Still a super fun game, but man the potential was there to be a superb game and they Octopath Traveller'd it. So hopefully we get a DQ:T 2 someday where they go full effort.

@@scrapkingkeita3825 DQ 11 got a switch port. They could have just used those textures for this as DQ 11 also had open world sections, in fact, they were larger than this game. Go look at DQ 8 on PS2 and it is super weird how similar the textures are for the environments. I know the switch is a joke machine, but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3 manage to make you almost appreciate the graphics. Also, yes, it is a spin off of DQ 4 but the DQM series is pretty damn big at this point. 13 DQM not counting the repack of DQM 1+2 Meanwhile DQ is up to 11... When the spin offs are more than the series... are they really spin offs anymore? Besides, writing them off as spin offs is how SE gets away with making shitty versions of games that should and could be great, while still charging full price and then removing content to sell at DLC. Fucking gross.
