An Israeli adult serves 20 years for manslaughter, and a Palestinian child would be sentenced to 20 years for throwing a stone. That’s a sickening fact.

@@jojodroid31 "fundamentally flawed" means that its fundament, the underlying idea, is flawed, not just the execution of that idea. Reform will never change that underlying idea. Instead, the system needs to be abolished and replaced by a better system. Reform in this context would mean ensuring Palestinians have access to lawyers and translators. At best, it means getting rid of the two-tier judicial system in place. Which would be a good thing. But the underlying issue is the occupation of the West Bank and the blockade of Gaza. And ending those injustices would mean not needing this two-tier system, not needing to imprison thousands of Palestinians. This can't be tackled by judicial reform though. According to article 66 in the very 4th Geneva convention they mentioned, residents of the area at war shall be judged by a military court. Furthermore, the claims of abusing that power are baseless - I invite you to look at the prisoners Israel released in return for its innocent citizens a few weeks ago, it is public. All of these “Children an Womem” are convicted terrorists who have either stabbed or threw stones on IDF soldiers, sometimes murdering them or citizens.

and occupied west bank is occupied because? the long complex history of the region boils down to weak government of Palestine making choices against their own interest and being influenced by other arab nations to continue a conflict even as 3rd party western nations tried to guarantee their borders thru UN. Best example of it can be see in the simple fact that Hamas is de facto government of Gaza while being independent from PLA, so this one made up country that has no borders somehow has 2 governments neither of which can speak on behalf of palestinian people since neither of them have legitimate governments. Palestine as a country has only been recognized in 2012, until then it has very few countries recognizing it which were mostly other muslim countries, the reason for that is because Palestinian representatives have shot down any previous border agreements and were pushed into war with Israel by neighbouring arab nattions. @@AntwanMounir
