But very proud of my achievements, including seeing my daughter's life developing as I prayed for. She is happily married with two beautiful daughters. Being a Black female ENTJ is definitely a challenge in a world where we’re already stereotyped as aggressive and bossy.
@GhostofJung3 жыл бұрын
How have you navigated that?
@aprilwright39003 жыл бұрын
@@GhostofJung Best I can. I have and will in the future run into people who pull the "Angry/Aggressive Black woman" trope on me. It's definitely frustrating. Some BW may shrink themselves to be more acceptable. No shade if they do. But I can't because that diminishes my talents and quality of life. I will live for myself - not others' approval. Nor will I lower my standards. Being a polarizing figure is accepting you aren't everyone's cup of tea. But being polarizing brings you to the right people and opportunities. On a practical level, I try to avoid working under insecure/feely-feely-types. It will likely never work. I help facilitate organizational change and being proactive, decisive, and willing to move the needle is usually appreciated.

@@aprilwright3900 you are spot on! As a research scientist, I diminished myself for decades to fit into a space where I was typically the only Black woman. While I am extroverted I found myself overdoing it to seem less aggressive both in my professional career and personal life. Thankfully, I was able to break free of that mindset in my late 30's and I haven't turned back since!

Same, I'm also a black female ENTJ and had issues with my father when he sometimes commented on how i walk around the house like i own the place and manage my siblings when we assign chore rotations, but I obviously know I don't own the house because it's not in my name and I'm not paying any bills. Also had these arguments with my manager when i have no idea why she singles me out. But basically you're right, we are always expected to be mean and bossy already but when our personality is literally being a boss-like character, it makes it seem like their bigotry is valid. I'm learning to focus on what i am and what I'm not or will not put up with. Including people like them.
@victoriarr5963 жыл бұрын
Gosh, main challenge in being ENTJ female is that, you are alone, finding a partner who is strong enough. I guess guys have it easier, they can find an F type girl who is soft and fuzzy and be fine with it, they are fine with being a sugar daddy, can’t see female ENTJs being ok with being a sugar mommy. Female ENTJs are strong but need someone even stronger! Queen needs a king, not a troubadour or a counsellor, but someone on the same level. Weary is the head that wears the crown...

I wonder about this with ENTJ females. Is the only cure another Te heavy user that meets them at their level. What if they are more successful? I assume that would be OK.

F type women do or do NOT look for a sugar daddy anymore than T women do, and you can approve or disapprove. They are just more in touch with their feminine energy. ALL women seek a man who’s comfortable with his masculine energy, that’s why ENTJ women already in touch with their own masculine energy still seek a ‘stronger’ man who will at least be their ‘equal’ in that regard.

@6:30 The curse of the ENTJ is to make everything more functional and to leave the world in a better place. Female ENTJ here (I am quite thinking it is quite a curse haha kidding). I am finding it hard to find someone that I can connect on intellectual level. Firstly without it, i cannot be attracted :/ and it's worse when there is stereotype on the personality type. @@bozydarziemniak1853 Your observation is on point, but you conclusion leaves much to be desired. If she were an ESTJ, she'd have more ESTJ qualities such as a tendency to speak about the possibilities of objects, having continuity in ones speech when speaking concretely, or bring inclined to provide more alternative ways of looking at the same thing than she does. None of this is hardcore proof of what type she is, but if we are to believe that she is in fact an ESTJ, then that claim should be both internally logically consistent and consistent with external behavioral patterns. She does have a somewhat unusual way of speaking for what you might expect from an ENTJ though, but I think she's what she claims to be.
