I love this video. I haven’t really met anyone else that speed cubes but I’ve been speed cubing for around 10 years now which is a little under half my life. I felt the “kids these days don’t realize how good they have it”. I can buy a really good 3x3 online for $60 or a still really good but cheap cube for $15. Back in the day the only way was to go to Walmart or target, get a crappy rubiks brand, take a dremel to almost all the peices to round all the edges of every price so it could corner cut a little, then dump a whole container of Vaseline in it. When learning all the faster methods that take hundreds of algorithms, this video doesn’t mention that any set of moves repeated enough times will return the cube back to original. And they could have even dipped into all the other shape puzzles. They could’ve shared about 18x18s, cuboids, shape mods, pyriminxs, etc... this hobbie is like no other and people think your a genius when really you just watched some KZbin videos. But being able to solve a cube in under 20 seconds every time is pretty cool to show people

I love the Rubik's cube, my mother bought me one for Christmas one year thinking id never solve it, by lunch time I had solved it. and ever since that day I can now solve it in around 20 seconds on average, sometimes faster, I use it as a stress releif. I also use it as a way to remind myself that I am capable of teaching myself anything no matter what.

@@riplikatlnloki5091 Lost the WR single. Still holds the record average, which considering the PLL skip on Yusheng Du's solve is honestly more impressive to me. Not knocking Yusheng, that double X-cross took skill.

It's also very impressive since you have to do it upside down.

hey, dave how much time do you take to solve the cube using Wired's method. Can it be under 1 minute?
@mcwithshift2 жыл бұрын
@@abhay_007 I learned using that method, and I got under 1 minute eventually. But if you really want to get faster you need to learn things like Intuitive F2L, 2-Look OLL, and 2-Look PLL just for starters. Also optimize look-ahead, turn speed, and if you don't have a good cube I reccomend the RS3M 2020 or 2021 since it's cheap and very good. (i now average 20s)
@Nameiscool42011 ай бұрын
I could barely get under 2 minutes with wireds method. But that's probably not the methods fault because I was using an old Rubik's cube I lost then found in the dirt. This cube wasn't even a 1980s cube, it was made in like 2017
