I have been in a literal DAZE for about 2 weeks now, vehemently avoiding overdue school work that I convinced myself I could complete in a week. Of course, I couldn't convince myself to declare when that week officially starts. My mental state has taken a dive, honestly. Those looming, anxious thoughts really do affect everything. Can't enjoy drawing, gaming, relaxation, anything. And then, just like a divine message from the universe, one of your vids gets recommended to me. I NEVER watch self-help stuff. I don't know WHY KZbin showed me this. But it came just six hours before a big ol deadline that I was probably going to miss aGAIN. I will update here if I can get it done in time. You've inspired me in a single afternoon. I'm ready to give this a shot. Edit: I DID IT BITCHES 15 MINUTES BEFORE MIDNIGHT WOOOOOOOOOO >:D I mean I think it mighta sucked but it was only 3 pages, I didn't have to rush too bad. Mr. Bald Man, I don't know you, but you may have singlehandedly saved my skin today. Was literally lying miserable in bed when I watched this vid, and 6 hours later I have a *win.* Still got lotsa work ahead of me, but now I know I still got steam. And I still want to try. Genuinely, thank you for helping me realize that.

I literally procrastinated watching this by putting it in my “Watch Later” playlist. So glad I finally watched it! Another tip I have, which some may already know, is to just commit to five minutes of the task. Your brain can usually grudgingly commit to five mins, and after that time has passed, you’re often settled into the flow of just getting it done(:

I feel like I’ve got some form of depression or anxiety since COVID hit. I got let go from my job and haven’t worked since, found it extremely hard to get back into my old work ethic and I seriously, no joke, NEVER want to work another day in my life. It’s sad, I’m unhappy and I’m not making enough money in addition to incredible amounts of procrastination. But at the same time, I’m extremely comfortable, I could sit around all day every day for the rest of my life. Reality is that I can’t do that, so this video seriously helped man. I’ll try your way of working/thinking and hopefully I can get back on my feet. It’s not necessarily doing the thing for me, it’s getting to it. I think about it and instantly say ‘nope’ and watch KZbin all day. It doesn’t even bother me when things get out of hand/late 😂. But thanks again! I’ll try adapt this mindset into my day to day life. Loved this and needed this. I think the other aspect is how easy it is to start to identify as a failure when you see all those unfinished projects. I think another major part is learning how to talk to ourselves better and not dictate our worth by how many things we did that day. For me, I see every unfinished thing as another sign I'm not doing enough and I lash out with self-punishment or self-defeatest thoughts. It's honestly all about finding more self-compassion.

Your videos mean the world to me. You sir, are a life-changer for sure. I was feeling depressed and stuck in the same cycle of life because I was way too hesitant to create changes. I was stuck in the same construction company doing a job I hate, day in day out, while being depressed for not making the money I wanted to earn. Then I came past your channel, and you learned me so much that hugely affected my life. Because of your videos, I made a move to enter the Belgian military, to expand my view on the world, to say yes to new adventures and LIVE! You are awesome for real!

Ya know, the thing I love most about your videos are they're applicable to SO many situations. I occasionally get sucked down into productivity video rabbit holes, but most are irrelevant to me because I'm a stay-at-home mom, not an office worker and the like. But there's always something I can pull from your advice and apply it to my life. In this case, it's my kitchen. I spend a majority of my day just preparing and feeding little gremlins, and if thr kitchen is a disaster, its a HUGE impediment to everything else I need to do. But I haaaaate cleaning it. The longer I wait though, the longer it will take, and the harder it is to keep my monsters happy. Now, it's not as easy as "just do it" sometimes because anyone with small children knows they make things VERY hard to get done, but there are times where that isn't the case but I shrug it off because of dread. The philosophy in your video is on point though, and I'll take it as a reminder whenever things start getting out of control, what I can do to bring some semblance of sanity back to our space. Thanks for your content, it's always inspiring. :)

The more I listen the more my stomach begins to nervously twist, even if I'm aware that without focusing on certain thing instead of filling your head up with many tasks that need to be done I'm not going to move on from the spot where I'm currently standing. Consciously, I know that I'll begin and concentration will come as I needed it to, but inner fear that nothing will ever be done still imprisoning me.

I literally can not remember a time when I didn't have something I needed to do, and yet wait till the eleventh hour to start, then do a half assed job of it, then feel horrible about it, try to escape with video games or something, then even more stuff would pile up, and it just keeps going. Quite a situation I've got myself in.

I feel exactly the same. It's not that we can't get stuff done. It's the overwhelming certainty that it's never going to end. It's like dusting, one you finish, more dust it's going to come. You'll never get it done. Then why do it in the first place?.
