As an Italian I think at least four of these stereotypes are actually true. Also there is another theory that explains why we talk with our hands so much and that's because Italy has always been divided in different states that had different languages, so to understand each other we had to talk with our hands. Even today regional dialects are so different from one city to another that it's difficult to understand someone who speaks a different dialect than you. (sorry for my shitty English lol)

Soy de Argentina vivo en Francia y cada vez que voy a Italia me siento como en casa. Esos gestos, esas expresiones, inclusive jugando al truco o hablando por teléfono, es re común en Argentina.

L'impatience dans le sens où ils se fâchent tout le temps? Pq si c'est comme ça je sais pas si tu es français, mais les français râlent beaucoup plus, les italiens le font moins souvent, juste un peu plus fort. Après il la ferment et te laissent tranquille. Je dis ça en tant que française.

J'aimerais bien savoir pourquoi nos chaines TV "gratuites" (TF1, M6, France Tv, etc) refusent de produire un programme sous-titrés ? On est le seul pays Européens a ne pas avoir de TV show sous titrés, c'est ridicule

Il ne faut pas trop fatiguer le cerveau de la masse populaire : il faut qu'il reste disponible pour la publicité. A probablement corréler avec notre niveau lamentable en langues étrangères. Il n'y aurait que Arte, qui est évidemment plus branchée Europe, pour financer ce genre de projet. En même temps, je ne regarde plus la télé, et mon entourage non plus. Feu PPD aux Guignols disait "Vous regardez l’ancêtre d'internet"...

Ça vient d'un souhait de protéger le français je pense. C'est bien sûr une méthode très discutable qui a le don de nous rendre mauvais en langue par exemple.

Heuuu non... t'es déjà allé en Espagne ?? D'ailleurs ils font même comme les canadiens, ils traduisent tous les titres de films ! Sinon en France tu peux voir pratiquement toutes les séries en anglais (good doctor, csi/les experts, ncis, supernatural, game of thrones...) tu n'as jamais regardé tes paramètres audio ? Tu le fais une fois et tu n'as plus à changer.

Cet épisode s'est avéré vachement intéressant ! On retrouve la belle qualité visuelle des vieux WTFF, et le sujet abordé est bien recherché et très agréable à écouter ^^ évidemment frustrée de ne pas avoir le reste, mais déjà très contente d'en avoir vu ce bout. Beau boulot !

Je trouve ça super que tu aies fais une chaîne où tu parles anglais sous titrés français avec en plus, des documentaires sur les différents stéréotypes des pays. J'ai une niveau déplorable en Anglais depuis la 6e et grâce à toi, je comprends de plus en plus les dialogue, je retiens peut-être pas énormément de vocabulaire mais mon oreille se fait de mieux en mieux à l'accent ! Continue comme ça ! 💙

C'était SA-VOU-REUX ! J'ai adoré le fait que tu ailles sur le terrain directement, avec les autochtones (je suis contente de pouvoir caser ce mot), et en même temps discuter avec des "professionnels" qui expliquent ça plus sérieusement ! (Même si le psychologue n'a pas servi à grand chose pour le coup :'D pauvre de lui) On apprend deux-trois petits trucs en même temps. Ça fait plaisir de retrouver notre cher Paul Taylor en tout cas ! Mwhaha je possède un abonnement Canal +, souperrr !

It's pretty amazing that a French channel lets you make programmes in English. It wouldn't happen the other way around. I really prefer subtitles to voiceovers, far less distracting and easier for language learners.

As someone who has Spanish as her first language, is obsessed with Europe and has been learning English, French and, recently, Italian through the internet(and also found Paul Taylor's work not so long ago), I feel like this is a great start of what I've been waiting all my fckn life.
