You would have seen this level of brutality in the arrancar war if the anime didn't censor it. For example, Rangiku has this done to her by Ayon. The Chimera arrancar that Haribel's fraccione summon (the one we see fight the Quincy in Huaco Mundo) uses a single finger to rip out her entire side, and we even see him examining the chunk of torso before all the Vice-Captains jump him

Kira’s revival is actually explored more in depth in the short story “Beginning of the revive of Tomorrow” it’s quite literally the story of his revival and fight with Shaz Domino. Gives cool insight into how central 46 is ran too if ur interested in that. But yea it shows how he’s now a beast of an assistant captain.

To anyone who doesn’t know, Kira’s mind is now permanently messed up, as his soul was merged with many other dead soul reapers to the point upon being asked if he is himself he says yes but no, he is many people and his personality is much more sullen and dark as he is frequently in pain(you know from there being 3 giant metal rods holding up half his body.)all the spiritual pressure of the people he was merged with stacks into him multiplicatively, this results in Kira having spiritual pressure on the level of a captain, and one of his attacks is as strong as a bankai release. And his strength and speed are also nuts as those also stacked from his surgery.

Also that this is a feud that started when the Shinigami made a genocide on the Quincies for disrupting the balance instead of diplomacy. The quincies were weakened significantly that even Juha Bach had to sleep but the time given to them gave them more than enough to become stronger than even the entire generations of shinigami that came before them and this is further solidified by Juha Back himself that, if not for Aizen and Ichigo and Uryu, would have razed Soul Society and become the undisputed masters of reality.

Kubo really did show the power of the quincies. The squad 1 liutenent died in the first episode, and the squad 1 captain died in the first season. Not to mention like hundreds of soul reapers were killed in the first season, with hundreds more dying in the second. Kubo really showed how brutal they were, and the despair they caused for ichigo.

Tl;dr, yes, i need to know about this man's bankai Izuru Kira and Gin Ichimaru were my favorite characters in all of Bleach. Which ironically enough, i learned back in 2012 first year of college, the flower of my birth month (october) is marigold. And the flower of Squad 3? Yeah. Crazy enough 3 was my lucky number and Haribel is my favorite espada. So double bonus on that. So all that said, ya understand why i gotta see his bankai. Especially with how i loved how different his zanpakuto was. So unassuming but so powerful in practice
