This was one of the funniest Jack Benny programs I have ever heard. Stanwyck was off-the-charts good in this - Perfect timing. The whole cast Nailed It.

There's a line he has with Doris Day. He asks her out to dinner, she says that she sees no harm in that and Jack responds: "Oh I wish you could."

Jack used "The Horn Blows At Midnight" as a running joke for years. It was awful, and wound up being his last picture. This sketch was later used on his TV show, with Vincent Price stepping in for Basil Rathbone.

Running joke and I don't know why - I think it was one of his better pictures. And Irene Dunne stepping in for the impossible-to-step-in-for Stanwyck.

dumbbo1 "Horn" ws a good mvie until the last 5 minutes to go, then it fell apart. The giant coffee cup and pitcher where quite a prop.

I think that the fish seller is Allan Reed, the voice of Fred Flintstone.

Yes that is Allan Reed. His voice is so easy to recognize.
