One thing I absolutely love about Cassandra Nova is all the sinister grin images she’s portrayed in. That grin she gave when Psylock used her psychic knife on Cassandra was such a cool image to look at. I think the artist did a great job on this issue and used Cassandra very well.

I’m fine with her being on the team. Current X-men seems to be about merging timelines and bringing up old storylines and tying them to current events and I love it. In at least one timeline Cassandra takes the role of Professor X (Here comes Tomorrow) so I’m interested in where this is going to go.

This first issue of the second volume of Marauders was pretty fun. The Art kind of turned me off a little bit but the story enhanced it. I'm Loving that they are expanding more on the new ancient Mutant lore Hickman established. And it Orlando can make me care about Daken like Leah Williams did that's a plus! The data page with the "Mutant Gene Debate" was quite entertaining 🤣

There a lot that's depressing about the goings on in X-Men comics but that said I really love that we're finally getting to know characters that have been around forever but never got much development. I'm also happen that certain characters were brought back like Synch and the students massacred by Styker. I hope that we get title that focuses on those young mutans, even if it's a limited sries.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that box the same thing Emma was searching for and what Mystique gave to her back in Inferno #2? She even says the box was "gifted with great mystique." Plus, the look on Emma's face when she gives it to Kate strongly implies that she already knows a great deal about it.

This comes across as almost a throw-away SWORD storyline but Ill wait to see how it progresses and how the team works out. Whedon and Morrison were the only writers that wrote a compelling story with Cassandra Nova as the main villain, imo. Any other iteration of hers is just becoming cliched at this point. Bishop should know how this plays out, so he should be able to know when the double-cross is coming

The art style was a big issue for me. I like the way Cassandra Nova looks in this style but not Kate. Imma give it a chance tho as Kate is my favorite x-person and I'm excited about the writer change.

Is this the Delphos the pre cog that was in the “Secret X-men comic”? Because she wasn’t green in that comic 🤔. I love the new plot, I agree I don’t enjoy anime art in comics. Although I did like Cassandra Nova look in this comic.

If you're okay with the art, take a moment to go back and look again. There are some pretty awful mistakes in it. The art style of cartoony over the top expressions /manga like art would be acceptable if it wasn't for the inconsistancy of facial proportions. yes,yes, manga sometimes play with facial expressions as part of style, that's not what I'm talking about. - several times Bishop and Dakken suddenly have a longer face than what is they did in a previous panel. One panel was so bad that Bishop had double the space between his nose and mouth, as if he was impersonating Kuwabara Kazuma from Y u Yu Hakusho from the early issues. -Somnus went from having a straight nose bridge to it having a huge bump ala "roman nose" then back to straight . - one panel had Tempo have tennis-ball eyes I could get pass the manga-wannabe style but I can't get over these amateurish mistakes.

Would you honestly give a second chance to someone that killed millions? The writer brings it up with mention of Sinister and Apocalypse and deftly makes a non-issue of colluding with evil. It's dumb Cassandra was even reincarnated. It makes no sense. It feels like there is little thought and a lot of flash to current X titles. Now war with Shiar? I wonder if the writer considers the Mutant/Eternal war already in play. Probably not. The X writers have been off in a universe of their own, giving the finger to canon and continuity. And forgetting what makes a hero.

The Xmen could easily win the war with Humanity without ever really having to spill any blood… use there resurrection protocols on Everyone yes they would have to find away to recreate and modify the process back up mutants graft these powers onto others since they can do this now and expand Cerebro to back up everyones mind. But if they started bringing everyone who has died back with a convenient new x gene making them mutants suddenly the human race will slowly become mutants…
