But infact Muslims are one of the colonizers of Judea too... Muslims or Christian are colonizer at least religiously because both Christianity and Islam came as foreign religions to Eretz Yisrael. HaShem cleared off all sorta paganism and established his people in the land. Afterwards the pagans, Muslim and Christians forced themselves into Eretz Yisrael and tried time and time again to strip the Jewish identity of Eretz Yisrael and the right of the Jewish to live independently in the land of Yisrael.
@brynawaldman57902 күн бұрын
You didn't get the basic points. Jews are indigenous to Judea & got "decolonized;" enslaved & deported, by many empires; Assyrian, Greek, Roman, Mohammed's empire, the Ottomans, etc. Empires are big; lots of land & lots of people. Israel & Jews are small & never had an empire or colonies. But empires have come along & colonized Israel & torn Jews from their homes. Arabic Muslims started out in the Arabian Peninsula, made a huge empire, colonized the middle east & northern Africa. History.
@brynawaldman57902 күн бұрын
Muslims in the West, once their numbers are sufficient, are immigrants who want to change western countries onto Muslim nations, in general. It's a new dynamic historically, because the nations who take them in passively accept their moves to control. Through democratic rights & social programs meant to help their own marginalized groups, ironically.

I'm an Israeli Jewish guy who was also raised in the U.S., and I want to point out something very special about this woman. Starting around 11:11 and into the following minute, she begins to speak like a Kabbalist Jew, instead of just a plain Jew. Allow me to elaborate. During King Solomon's rein in Ancient Israel, it was written that Solomon himself expanded his connection to God (yes I fully spell it out, I don't subscribe to the Rabbinical "G-d" opinion of not spelling the Almighty's name fully). Anyways, King Solomon explanded his Judiasm and connection to God by practicing more Metaphysic based Jewish rituals, and even understanding the Creation as a Quantum Physical existance. He even conjured up what's known as "King Solomon's Seals" where there were specific energetic metaphysical properties, to his carefully crafted seals. This gave the way to later-on spiritual practices in other cultures to develop their own amulets, but it was Solomon that pioneered the amulets that connected directly to God. Why am I saying all of this? Keep reading. In my late 20's into my early 30's (I'm in my 40's now), as I myself was drawn intensely to the Kabbalistic portions of Judiasm to study them, higher states of consienceness began to expand in me, to the point of increased telepathy and claivoyance. The "downloads" telepathically I began to realize in deep states of reflection, is that Kabbalah was something very much deeply ingrained in our original ancestors around time of King Solomon, but after the Roman occupation and our diaspora all around the world, since Kabbalah was already more closely gaurded at that time then then the adherance to general Torah, this EXTREMELY important part of our Religion (Kabbalah within Judiasm) was LOST partially. While there were Jews during the Diaspora that immigrated to Europe (both East and West), it was the MIZRAHI Jews of the Diaspora, that were able to retain more of the Kabbalah portion of Judiasm. The mystic portion. This includes the Jews who migrated to North Africa, deeper into the Levant, and the Arabian Penninsula. While our ancestors who immigrated (or trafficked to) Rome, Spain, and elsewhere in Europe, had immediate additional European persecution to deal with, it was the ones that went to North Africa, deeper into the Levant, and Arabia, that had more "passion" to continue Kabbalistic practices, before the persecutions began to take place under the oppression and barbariam of Islam, 700 years later (after the Diaspora). Where am I going with this? It was the MOROCCANS, Yemeni, and other Mizrahi Jews, that maintain daily practices and even knowledge bases, of this deeper "spiritual code level" part of Judiasm. I know this to be true because even 20 years ago, my first Kabbalistic mentor was a Farsi Persian Jewish elder, who taught me aspects of Kabballah correlating with Torah, that blew my mind. Then another mentor of mine learning Kabbalah, is a Moroccan man living in Jerusalem, who wrote the book "The Practical Kabbalah", his name is Itzhak Mizrahi. So when i hear this young woman speak the way she speaks, and i know her own diaspora heratige came from Morocco, it almost instsntly came to my mind this woman is already picking up on Kabbalistic understandings of Judiasm, that is not clasically taught in Rabbinical Judiasm, that was largely dominated by the Ashkenaz way of teaching Judiasm. My larger point? Kabbalah is to "Yin", as Torah is to "Yang", they are two sides of the same Judaic coin, but because of what we went through in Diaspora, an extremely special (and necessary) part of our religion dating back to even as far back as Moses (yes, Moses was a Kabbalist as well, how do you think he was able to part the Red Sea and deliver plauges to Egypt), this part of our Jewish body of Wisdom, was temporarily lost, for a very long time. To the woman in the video, if you read this comment, know that you've also tapped into something very special (and very suppresesd) about our spiritual roots, and HaShem is using you as a conduit (as many of us are being used as conduits), to reignite the SPARK that was stolen from us, during the first time we were kicked out of our homeland when the Romans tried to erase our roots to our land. This woman is a spiritual role model in modern Judiasm, and I would suggest to many Jews, to start paying more attention to the Jewish knowledge of the Jews that didn't leave the region to Europe, for the missing pieces of information of our ORIGINAL Judiasm, before the Diaspora. Our SPIRITUAL Judiasm, the way it was understood at the time of King David himself, and King Solomon. When King David and King Solomon reined, there was no Talmud, there was NO additional Rabbinical "spin" on how we live our life as ancient Jews, it was much more direct, pure, and far more spiritual. Hopefully she reads this. Much respect to our deeply spiritual Moroccan brothers and sisters who retained the mystic portion of our Religion. 😊🙏🏼✡️🪽

Perhaps I don't understand the concepts of colonized and decolonized Judean. I also haven't seen cultures and how they change that way: When cultures interact with each other, they inevitably influence one another, for example I recently read how some practices around Passover were influenced by Persian Zoroastrian practices. Judaism also has a history thousands of years long, and especially where they have been dispersed across the world, traded with representatives of other cultures, and been under other empires it is impossible not to have been influenced by them in some way, and apart from the last example, being part of an empire, the influence doesn't have anything to do with conquering another culture or that culture trying to supercede yours. It's just a matter of absorbing certain aspects of the culture that's around you as a way of adapting to the land you're living in. Judaism does have another aspect to it, though, because there are aspects that specifically resist assimilation into other cultures. When these reactive aspects interact with other cultures, there are certain ways that that changes and adapts the culture as well. We see the result in Orthodox Judaism in America and Canada especially. Contrast that with secular Jews throughout the world (except in Israel, because they are a different brand of secular Jew). And I don't think it's a bad thing that cultures absorb aspects from each other, it's a sort of cultural change, that allows the living culture to grow and continue. Another example of how a culture changed through interaction is how Japanese culture took on Chinese writing systems, and how they took on Western aspects and modernized quickly after shifting away from the policy of isolationism they'd been under before that. Japan is a country that modernized and advanced extremely quickly after opening up.

I'm a Jew from Montréal Quebec as well. Montréal is like the democratic multicultural stronghold in Québec. French Quebecers are very nationalistic. They want the province to separate from Canada. The Jews (Sepharad & Ashkanaz) have a long history in the city of Montréal. Québec has a long history of antisemitism. Up north and outside of the city in the towns of the Laurentians they would put signs on their stores saying "No Dogs or Jews allowed". To this day the English and Jewish population are treated like 2nd class citizens. Québec French population is 50% separatist (from Canada). So although many French Quebecers are kind, warm, and wonderful, the other 50% hate your guts for being English speaking or non separatist. The difficulty is that if you are an English person, you never know which type of French person you're speaking to unless they are a kind person or they treat you like crap. Montréal is like Israel: a tiny sliver of land that just wants to live in peace but is always being fought over because it is the financial hub of Québec.

European Jews participated in colonization, primarily through trade, migration, and cultural contributions, though their involvement was less prominent than other Europeans. Sephardic Jews played significant roles in commerce, especially in the Caribbean and South America, managing trade networks and working on plantations. Some migrated to colonies seeking economic opportunities or religious freedom. However, restrictions and persecution in Europe often limited their direct engagement in colonial administration or conquest. The Zionist movement in the late 19th century, aiming to establish a homeland in Palestine, is sometimes viewed through the lens of settler colonialism, reflecting another dimension of Jewish participation in colonization.

During the middle ages ethnic Germans lived in large numbers throughout eastern Europe. Did that mean the German claim that Germany had a right to those territories was legitimate because they had once been a people indigenous to those regions? Does that mean that the occupation of those areas by Germany was not colonialism but rather "decolonization"? Russians claim that Ukraine historically has been Russian and that they are a people indigenous to Ukraine. Does that make Russian seizure of Ukrainian territory a form of decolonization?
@janpeterbaark30372 күн бұрын
I find this discussion about who is colonising/emigrate to a given territory quite disturbing. First of all: Mandatory Palestine wasn’t a country but a region in the former Ottoman Empire. Both Arabs and Jewish emigrated to Mandatory Palestine when it existed. And both Jews and Arabs were living there before its creation. Because of the unwillingness of the Arabs to accept the Jews living there on equal terms the UN decided to split the territory into two separate states. The Jews accepted that but the Arabs went to war that they lost. They have lost all the wars since. It’s incomprehensible that the Arabs cannot accept a Jewish state especially when neither the Jews nor the Arabs have more right to live there than the other. As for the Russian claim that Ukraine has historically belonged to Russia: it’s the other way round. The Grand Principality of Vladimir (who would later develop into Russia) was established after the disintegration of Kievan Rus that it was a part of .

Get over it. Be proud and happy that you are a Canadian, hold on to being a Jew there is nothing wrong with that. No, you shouldn't be singled out in your day to day because of it. But let the past go. As a random mut mix of Anglo Saxon in the U.S. I don't care about a "homeland" or my ancient traditions. Holding on to these things aren't worth even a single humans life that is lost because of it.

@ Al Jazira is proof that not one dime of oil wealth should have gone to Arab criminal rulers. It should have been held in trust for the people to pull them out of the 7th century.

If you mean the so-called West Bank, that land technically belongs to Israel, so I don't see the problem. If Israel allows them to build settlements, they have every right to be there. But aside from that, please explain to me why any people should have the right to live in a Jew-free area. Because if they have that right, don't others have the right to bar certain religions or ethnicities from their areas? What, exactly, are you supporting here?
